Yes the Quinta looks good when you visit the website and even in real life it looks good when you arrive at the parking place.
But, it is a bit isolated. Nothing within walking distance apart from a very small town (and we mean very small). But, you can get everywhere by car.
So, all quietness than? Well, when you lie at the pool, looking to the garden and the surrounding landscape, it's all beautiful and oh so quiet.
The mayor problem is the lack of sound isolation in the building:
First we had room 208, close to the entrance. We should have known better and after one night we knew better: a lot of noise from the people entering the hotel or leaving the restaurant and talking in the lobby.
Ok, we got another room, further upon the corridor, room 214.
Better, but... above the restaurant. So, when the first guests enter for the breakfast or the last guests leave the dinner late in the evening, you hear every chair that scratches over the floor.
And what if everyone is gone?
You still have the neighbors. Every time someone talks or looks at the television, you hear everything.
A total lack of sound isolation ruins everything. Maybe it is better on the other side of the corridor and in the rooms in the little houses in the garden, but if you book, refuse the rooms from 208 to 215/216.
It really is a shame for this type of hotel.

Stayed here for 5 nights from Aug31-Sep5

First of all, you need a (rental) car to get there, it’s in the middle of nowhere, but ideal to start journeys to local villages, such as Olhao, Tavira, Faro... (10-15 min by car)

Nice pool, quite large, about 25 rooms, good airco and wifi. Bed is only 1.40, a bit small.

Breakfast is fine, you can order any type of egg preparation you want. We had one dinner, not wauw. But there are lot of excellent restaurants in the neighbourhood.

Very good hotel to start trips in Algarve, and when you’re back around 4pm, just jump in the pool, fantastic

We were visiting friends who have moved to the area and this hotel was recommended to us, our friends were right. The location is stunning and yet only 15 minutes from Faro airport and the sea. The staff are friendly but not ‘in your face’ all the time and nothing is too much trouble.
We left three days later fully refreshed!

This was our first visit to Quinta dos Poetas where we stayed in one of the Apartments situated away from the main hotel building. We chose this specifically as my wife is a wheelchair user and we were looking in particular for good access and a shower rather than a bath. Also, the apartments have their own parking area which is secure, access being gained via a key fob controlling the gates. The only slight issue concerning the parking area is that there is no dropped kerb which would obviously be useful for wheelchair users.

The apartments are spacious and, if choose to prepare your own meals, you have mainly the equipment you need. We did have to request some straight glasses and tea cups as there were none upon arrival although we did have a dozen wine glasses!

Another reviewer made reference to the beds “being hard” and we did initially feel this was so; however they proved to be extremely comfortable and we slept very well.

The hotel gardens are beautiful and the pond provides a lot of interest with numerous terrapins and fish. It also attracts other visitors including, during our stay, a White Stork and a Cattle Egret, no doubt looking for a fish supper.

The amazing Hoopoe birds are in residence at Quinta dos Poteas and were often to be seen feeding outside the apartments where the stunning but noisy Azure-winged Magpies were also nearly always to be seen.

We would highly recommend the hotel Quinta dos Poetas and the apartments in particular. Also should point out that our apartment was cleaned each day and bedding changed; the cleaning ladies were both extremely efficient and friendly.
