Very pleasant atmosphere and staff. Food was incredible! Go early or later to miss the rush. Sit inside or out.

Waited on a Tuesday morning for a table and it was worth the wait. The muffins are homemade and fantastic. Every thing on the menu sounded so good and the taste of the food can't be beat. Get kitchy location and friendly staff.
Ida Reds features only real food -- with delicious pancakes, a large variety of omelettes and egg dishes, among other delights. There are usually waits for a table so it's good to put your name in a take a walk around town. It's worth any length of wait!
Can't say enough about Ida Red's cottage. Great food, plenty of leg room and even can eat outside if you want.
Let's start with ambiance. Tiny place, good location, nice garden area with benches to wait to be seated. It was a nice day so we had the choice of indoor or outdoor seating. Inside was very old/tired looking. White tiles were so old and worn that they were dingy and basically looked filthy. The pictures hanging on the wall over our table had so much dust along the frame that appeared to have collected there for quite some time. If they don't keep the "front of the house" clean, imagine what is happening in back where your food is prepared.
Dined on a Sunday morning, expected a wait, took about 30 minutes to be seated. We were seated in the back of the restaurant by the bathrooms and were basically forgotten about. A server stopped by early on and asked if we wanted coffee and if we were ready to order. Got a coffee and never saw anyone again for a refill the remainder of the meal (we were there for 1 hour and 45 minutes total after being seated). Ordered breakfast (the Montana scramble and he got the ham/cheese scramble). 45 minutes after ordering we called a server over and asked if they forgot about us or if we could expect breakfast soon, after all we only ordered scrambled eggs with no toast and no potatoes. A fairly simple order in my opinion, especially for a restaurant that specializes in breakfast and has no more than 20 tables.
Overall we were not pleased with Ida's, nor would we dine here again. We came for breakfast and were STUCK there for over 2 hours including our initial wait time. I could certainly think of better ways to utilize my time on vacation than waiting around for scrambled eggs.
To end on a positive note, both scrambles were good and seemed to be made with high quality ingredients including the eggshell I found in mine.
