Description: Since 1986, Ida Red's Cottage has been serving Made-from-scratch breakfasts and lunches, year 'round. Our little place is a busy one, and our kind of cooking takes time, so expect to have to wait, sometimes a long time, during the summer season.

This is a pretty small place but if the weather is nice they have additional seating outside. We were there in October and the service was pretty slow but it might be because they were shorthanded. If they had more people they could have turned the tables over faster and shortened the wait time. The portions are large. One of my friends ordered the same scramble (spinach, cheese, and mushroom-very good) and we definitely could have split it. We both took at least 1/2 home but eggs don't really reheat very well. I liked the cottage potatoes (square, browned pieces) but my friends would have prefered hash browns. They don't take credit so be sure to have cash. It was a good meal and worht the wait.

Really a cute place with outside seating.
I had a great cheese and ham sandwich.
We waited 40 minutes for our food. They post they have gluten options very misleading. No gluten bread or pancakes. Ordered breakfast ask what they could sub for toast said they could sub home fries but they changed $1.50 on the bill.

Long wait list in this adorable brunch place. Once we got seated it took 40 minutes to get our food. The kitchen staff moves like lightning but it is so busy it just takes awhile. They had homemade blueberry, raspberry or banana crunch muffins...come early as they sell out. Our food was hot and plentiful. Indoor and outdoor seating.

The outdoor seating was wonderful for breakfast. We went in late August at 9:30, we were seated in less than 5 minutes. The reason for 4 stars is the service was really slow for how busy it was. The scrambles were delicious with great ingredients. You must get the potatoes as well. Many vegetarian omelette choices. I would go again for sure.
