The cottage was spacious and clean, and the kitchen was fully equipped, though I would warn renters to remember to bring even basic kitchen supplies like oil and sugar (there are salt & pepper shakers). The grocery store is somewhat limited and expensive. The Seney Wildlife Refuge is beautiful--well worth a visit. They even lend you binoculars and a bird book. We drove to the Pictured Rocks Lakeshore just about every day (about 40 min. to Munising). In the future, I'd rather stay closer to Munising and not make the drive. There's a friendly bar/restaurant in town, Andy's, which we enjoyed.

This is our fifth year staying at Twin Pines Lodging. We make the trip to the UP every July for a softball tournament. The houses are always stocked and clean. Anything we might want or need is already there, or just a phone call away. The price is very affordable, and the are is centrally located to get to most areas of Upper Michigan for the day. We love the small town charm, and the annual pig roast at the bar down the street. Couldn't ask for a better time, or better owners. Would highly recommend.
