The view was gorgeous! It was great for my husband and our 2 english bulldogs. This would be a great place to rent if you want to have additional friends or family because there is two units and each has its own entrance. The cabin was about 10-20 minutes from restaurants nearby and down town Traverse City. My only issue was the bed in the downstairs cabin; it was not very comfortable. We did have a plumbing issue but the owner jumped in and it was taken care of rather quickly. Angela was great to work with. Recommend the cabin and Spider Lake.
Nice place with great view of Spider lake and good lake access. Lots to do in the area with Lake Michigan and Traverse Bay not far away.
Great family resort. Spent last week enjoying this little resort, we were greeted by Loons playing on the water. We caught all kinds of fish, small mouth and large mouth bass, gogle eye, and pike. Used the row boat, kayaks and paddle boat. Rented the pontoon for the day, beautiful boat. Built a campfire and had smores. Went sight seeing to Sleeping Bear Dunes, did the M22 loop, stopped in Empire and Frankfort for lunch. Went kayaking down the Manistee River. Rented Cabin 8 upper and lower, loved the washer and dryer feature. Owners checked up on us. Yes we would go back.
The Windjammer resort in Traverse City was just what we were looking for! We (8 adults) wanted to rent a house near TC for a few days where we could all hang out together (versus being in separate hotel rooms). The cabin(8) comfortably slept 8 adults and was honestly nicer than expected on the inside. The Windjammer is only about 15 min outside of town and is on beautiful Spider Lake. The view from the upper deck of our cabin was stunning. The lake/ beach in from of the resort is sandy and shallow. They have a swim platform and a few water/ sand toys. The community deck and fire pit are close to all of the cabins in the center of the resort. We had such a great time, we are considering renting the whole resort with a large group of friends next summer!
