We had driven by Little Bohemia many times but it was never the right time to stop until yesterday. We knew we had to try their signature Olive Burger and the Perch. Both were outstanding. The french fries are particularly good and do not skip the cole slaw, just the perfect amount of sweet and tangy!
However, the highlight of our dining experience was not only the food...but the history of the place, lovingly outlined on the back of the menu by Nancy (one of the owners). She was also our server, so we got a first hand account of how she rescued the Nelsonville Block bricks from Front Street and placed them just outside the front door. Fascinating story, which meant a lot to my husband, who attended Ohio University, where sidewalks were paved with Nelsonville paver stones.
Oh, and don't leave without trying dessert. We caved in and shared the cherry bread pudding. Amazing! Next time I want to try the Carrot Cake.
