Looking at the other reviews, I guess we must have been unlucky. We had quite a wait for our food and when it arrived it was very disappointing. My chicken pie contained suspiciously regular cubes of very dry chicken . My husband's sea bass was plain and overcooked. The vegetables were bland and not hot. The pub itself was cold and although we sat by a radiator it was not switched on although it was a chilly evening.

Lovely traditional pub, very friendly and helpful staff. We holidayed locally for a week and ate evening meals here on three occasions, a different selection from the menu each time. The food was excellent, as was the service, nothing was too much trouble.

We holidaying in the area over the past 15 years, we have seen the ups and downs of this pub. We can honestly say the meal we had here was amazing. What value the Sunday lunch were, lovely meals served by a friendly chef. The best bit of the meal was some of the Home made ice cream. Worth a visit if in the area.
