Stop here if you want friendly service and authentic Mexican. The menu items have a large range, but include a lot of food items you won't find at most "Americanized" Mexican eateries. This is partly due to the fact that the food represents a region of Mexico and not just catering to the average tourist or American.

Everyone in our party ordered different meals, and the server patiently explained the differences between meals. He also customized every meal for us to include items we liked or did not like. We were treated like family who had stopped by for dinner. The server was attentive and friendly, and made the meal a pleasure.

The quantities were also huge and we went away with enough food for a second meal. And all this for less than we'd expected to pay for dinner.

Highly recommended, you'll have a pleasant, unique experience here.

We come here as often as we can. The salsa is divine and crave worthy, especially the red. Love the Barbacoa, Alambre is a meat lover's dream. Guacamole and Pico de Gallo are fresh and flavorful. Tamales are huge and yummy!

We stopped in for a late lunch / early dinner. Kinda tough to navigate into the parking lot ( it is only feet from a very busy intersection). Glad we made the effort though. The food was good and very plentiful. Nothing fancy about it, just good Mexican food! We were the only ones in the dining room, though people came and went with carry out. Service was quick and friendly, food was hot and tasty! Prices were very good.

Great place for authentic Mexican food with an inspiration from Oaxaca. The food is wonderful and reasonably priced. Does not serve alcohol but well worth the visit!

Traverse City /Acme is so fortunate to have this kind of authenticity. We visit when we can and always leave with having had a fantastic dinner. They do not have a liquor license, if you can eat outside, you can bring your own. Perhaps if you ask you can bring your own inside s well, I know it is legal in Michigan. The food is second to none. If you like to experience excellent and unique food visit here soon.
