I was looking for a getaway for my girlfriend and myself, and being somewhat new to the area I went off the reviews posted here. Though parts of the stay were nice, most of it was disappointing.
The room itself was fairly nice, aside from the lights shining at the side of the building which were unable to be covered by the blinds. The hallway noise was pretty bad as well starting around 6 am.
The buffet was great except for an odd smelling shrimp pasta dish that went down and back up over the course of an hour.
The gaming itself was great. Slots were kind and seemed loose at times. The card area seemed pretty lively but available seats could be found pretty easily.
The only part of the trip I really was disappointed by was the pool area. Unless you are a family with younger kids I would not pack anything for the pool. It was a zoo until the "adult-only" hour. We decided to check it out once the adult time started and was grossed out by the 20-30 year old men staring at people in the pool from outside the gated area.
All in all I would suggest this place to someone strictly here to gamble, otherwise if you are coming from the metro area I would head to Danbury.
