From the moment we arrived and met Pam and Kathy we felt right at home. They first gave us a tour of there home and our rooms and asked what are plans were so they could arrange breakfast for us. We told them we were golfing in the area Giants Ridge with a tee time at 11 am. They said they had other guest eating at 7 but they would do our breakfast at 9 so we could sleep in. After all the arrangements were made we headed out to the antique shop in the old barn it was great and Pam was very helpful. The house was a old farmhouse with a lot of original wood etc. The rooms were very nice with a lot of antiques. We were advices that the room we would be in would have a shared bathroom we were just fine with this and it was not a problem at all. One of the rooms had a full bathroom and one other had a 1/2 bath. Things all work if you allow it to. Both Pam and Kathy were so nice and accommodating along with there great dogs it was like being at home. At about 9 at night they put out cheese crackers wine what a nice touch. The breakfast was top notch. I would call it more then home cooking. Fresh fruit, blueberry pancakes, real berries, sausages and a gourmet egg coffee, juice it was hard to leave the table. I will return the Northern Comfort again

This historic homestead has been very well maintained and its heritage is well displayed in the decor, furnishings and old-fashioned comfort. The owners are excellent hostesses and the breakfasts are delicious beyond words. If you're in the area as a tourist or visiting family, this is a great place to stay for, even if its just for one night. The only downside is the out-of-the-way location, unless that's what you are looking for.
