I was staying in the Hilton Garden and visited Olives twice. The breakfast was outstanding. Stopped in for lunch the next day and had a burger & fries for lunch. Burger was well cooked, nicely seasoned and well presented. The fries were perfect! Crisp on the outside and were obviously freshly cooked to order, net the last handful out of the bin. Service was outstanding as well.

Table of 7 of us. A round of cocktails and we were ready for dinner.
I had a dinner salad and French Onion soup. The salad was good.
I think the soup was prepared by a comedian in the kitchen. It was served in a regular soup bowl with a little chuck of bread and a dap of cheese the size of a 50 cent piece melted on top of the bread. Not the crock of onion soup one would usually expect.
Fortunately the kitchen redeemed themselves. I ordered the lamb, medium rare. Folks, lamb does not get any better than this!
Had the NY cheese cake for dessert. Excellent taste and presentation!
Overall, this is one of Mankato's finest!

The restaurant is full service including room service. It’s very popular with the locals and we couldn’t get an early spot on a Saturday night. The breakfast brunch was pretty good, especially for the price of 10.99. Eggs Benedict, regular hot stuff and a nice continental set up. I had the fish and chips in my room once, and really enjoyed it.

Food was cold on the buffet. Someone had forgotten to lite the burners. The problem was immediately corrected, however the offer to make fresh French toast was absolute. You would think for a Hilton property they would’ve been trained to meet their guest needs. Very disappointed
