We held a 50th Wedding Anniversary celebration and dinner at the conference center. We couldn't have been more pleased with Taylor, the events coordinator. She was responsive, helpful and kind. On the evening of the event, she even did some heavy-duty trouble-shooting to make our slideshow work. The venue itself was clean, and the tables were all ready for us to decorate when we arrived, as promised.
Two things let it down a little. The bar (which is brought in by a vendor) was not well-stocked with wine, and the choice was very limited. They ran out of red wine pretty early in the evening, so if you are a wine-drinking bunch, let them know and ask for higher-end wine. Also, they only serve drinks in cheap plastic cups, which was a surprise. No glasses.
Secondly, the catering vendor they use provided the wrong kids' meals, the vegetarian option still had the bar-codes on the peppers and the main plated pork meal was very poor quality. A TV dinner would have been fresher. (Canned corn, microwaved potatoes, oversalted gravy, pre-cut, pre-cooked and heated pork.)
So, I would give the venue and staff very high marks, but their catering and bar partner let them down.More
