Number one wife and I wanted to try the CP for a while and decided to see what it was like. Went for an early lunch (11:30) and noticed the big parking lot had lots of open spaces which is usually not a good sign. We asked for an outside table and we had our choice of every deck table since we were the only ones outside. Decent tables, mid 80s, nice breeze, and plenty of shade. What's the deal? Maybe the noise from the Interstate, but it wasn't that loud, could still hear the red-winged blackbirds near the pond between us and the road.
Anyway, our waitress, Emily, took decent care of us and two other folks brought our beverages and food. Number one wife had a salmon salad - good, but needed more dressing which Emily brought when asked. I had fish tacos and enjoyed them. The flour tortillas held their own unlike some other restaurants where the tortillas "leak." There were a few corn chips and some salsa on the side. I added more salt to the salsa which improved it considerably.
When we departed (still had the deck to ourselves), the inside had a good crowd which means the CP must be improving from the colder Fall and Winter months when the reviews were as chilling as the Minnesota weather. Probably will return.
