This was our first visit after reading great reviews about Sanctuary. We were impressed with the facility, the ambiance and that they honored the type of table I requested on Open Table. We both ordered the 5-course chef’s selection and were impressed with each course. Our lobster-corn soup was amazing, the salad delicious, pork tenderloin and potatoes were spectacular and our favorite was the single, perfect scallop with a slightly spicy assortment of root vegetables and broth. The desert was beautiful but we only tasted as we were quite full at that point. We enjoyed this meal with the recommended wine pairing. This was not only a very reasonable price but each of the wine selections perfectly complemented the course it was paired with. For example I generally don’t care for Chardonnay, but it was perfect with the scallop dish.
Next time we will probably request a cozy table in the bar area simply to get a different perspective of the space. Parking is convenient and inexpensive for downtown. We will definitely go back for the atmosphere and the fantastic food, and are told the chef changes up the tasting menu every day.
