I stayed for a couple of weeks and must say, I felt so comfortable and taken care of. Management goes out of their way to make your stay comfortable. You can't beat the price and location. I highly recommend this place if you want to get away from cookie cutter motels.

Location is very good, close to highway coming into town. Location feels good, family run motel! Rooms have been well taken care of, nice larger refrig/freezer combo. Great tv, cable! Coffee in room etc. Hand sanitizer and a couple of snacks make this feel a little like home away from home. Plenty of storage. Great value.

Room tip: Room 18 was very nice with large tv, etc

We were pleasantly surprised to find this motel in Montevideo at such an affordable price. The management was very friendly, the room was smaller but clean with a great comfy easy chair and a king sized bed, a good sized fridge and microwave. ..Everything we needed! Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

I was so impressed with our room at the Viking Motel that I had to take some pictures to share. Our room was small but nicely furnished and decorated. The towels and sheets even matched the color of the nicely painted walls! It looked like new linoleum throughout with some nice rugs. There was a 50" TV, a new comfy recliner, fridge, microwave and coffee maker. There was no musty/moldy smell like you'd expect in an older motel. There is a nice BBQ area provided for guests to use. It was almost half the price of other motels in the area. We took a step back in time with a real key for the door lock! Not the Hilton but a very nice Motel.

Room tip: Smokers can smoke outside in the BBQ area.

The Viking hotel is a nice little place. Very friendly service. Clean room comfortable bed. Decent price. For an older place it's definitely well kept. There's a nice little outdoor pavilion with a fire pit and a gas grill. The , owner seems very nice.
