They have done a great job with this lovely park- It has been there as long as we can remember, but they have done an awesome job updating and building an extensive, super fun play area for young ones. However, even for everyone the pathways and views are beautiful. Worth the stop, or take a picnic!

We walked for hours enjoying the fall art festival in downtown Red Wing and went down to the river to enjoy the view. There is a large playground for children, swings and benches along the river, a bike/walking trail and a large grassy area. A lot of people were walking their dogs so dogs are welcome into the park. There is of course a shelter for picnics too.

The park has wide open space to play athletic games or for large gatherings and to just enjoy.

You can enjoy walking along the road to view the marinas that are filled with boats of different sizes, shapes and identifiable names such as Blue Water, Sea Ray, Kismet and more . . . .

The day we were there they had a large group of Model-T cars driving around the park.

One of the uncommon and retro attractions next to the park are the boat garages. Rows and rows of them. They are not found in most cities.

Fish were constantly jumping out of the water to catch insects. This was a semi warm October day.

We sat and watched a barge go down the river. It is a great place for taking sunset pictures. Take some food and have a picnic here. Picnic tables are available throughout the park. Your kids will love the playground. There is an outdoor community pool here that is open during the summer. Winter brings the Bald Eagles so bring your cameras.

First thoughts upon arrival is a kids park with a boat dock because it sits right off the river. Well behold as you drive around towards the back there's a mini water park. Surprisingly this place was all fun for the size of it. With two water slides (big enough for adults) a kiddie section and a diving board into 11feet of the clearest blue water. Only recommendation would be checking it out in summer months because it does get freezing cold in winter.
