We stop at in around 2:00 on a Thursday and had Bacon Cheeseburgers that were very good? They came pretty plain, if you want lettuce, pickles, onions or mustard you have to ask for it. Prices were a little higher than expected but the food was good.

I enjoyed a wonderful lunch at the Brickhouse today. I had a friend along to share the experience. There is a new summertime menu of several sandwiches. My friend enjoyed a burger fries. I enjoyed the grilled chicken dinner. Both meals were prepared to perfection and served in a prompt and friendly manner. Portion size was aligned with the price of each meal. The Brickhouse is always a clean place where you can enjoy a meal and friendly conversations...no loud TV's or music to disrupt the environment in the main dining room.

Lunch today started with the lunch special walleye not being available "temporarily out" temporary being 2 hours or so until the kitchen can do up some more. Fair enough, running out happens. Ordered the shrimp po' boy then, with house special cream of chicken and wild rice soup. Partner got a grilled chicken greek salad and the same soup. Soup came, delightful flavor, but both were lukewarm. Not cold, not hot, just above room temperature. Good enough to eat underrated, but it would have been much better hot. Mains came. Salad gets good to very good. Fries with the po' boy were hot and excellent. The po' boy bun was cold - out of the refrigerator cold, as was the slaw. The shrimp had (I speculate here) been hot when it was plated, but had been cooled to just over room temperature by the bun and slaw. Again, like the soup, the taste was very good, shrimp, sauce and slaw all quite nice. Would have been outstanding if a little attention had been paid to proper serving temperature for the bun and slaw.

I'll echo others - the renovated creamery is a great look and feel and keeps its history intact too. The beer selection was very good, and the bent paddle I had fresh and pleasant, the ice tea well made and good too. I'll likely try again and hope for a better result. As it is I'm glad that the walleye was out. If it had been served with surrounding elements that left it at room temperature it would have been a far greater crime.

This is a small comfortable restaurant and bar in the heart of the Polaris neighborhood of Roseau Minnesota. It is located next door to the Polaris Museum close to the Polaris plant that employs a large number of Roseau residents. There is a welcoming "Seat Yourself" sign at the entrance. Since it is a small dining room, it is easy to seat oneself and the server can attend to you immediately. The service is fast and the server can accommodate special requests and will offer assistance before the patrons need to ask.

First, this building has so much history and has been beautifully updated while maintaining the traditional character or its rich history! Truly a must see! My favorite item on the menu is the Dad’s prime rib sandwich. I also love the Not your moms Mac and cheese and the sweet chili wrap!
