We have a membership here so we usually get here a handful of times a year. This time we had other family visiting us from out of state and we brought them here because we knew they would enjoy it so much. My son's favorite area is the dinosaurs and my daughter is old enough to go into the lab to do a variety of experiments with one of us and she loves to do that. This visit we saw the national parks Omni movie and it was fantastic. I highly recommend seeing it but I do caution that you will want to go visit many of the places they feature in there, I know my kids have made a travel bucket list now because of it.

Fun family time. Main reason was to see the National Park Imax Movie- National Park Adventure that was showing....don't miss it! Grandson loved the musical steps. The hands on exhibits are perfect for kids and adults alike. We went early and decided that is a great time to get to see many of the exhibits before it gets busy.

We have been members for many years, and try to go a few times a month . That way your not so rushed to do everything in a few hours . Parking is five dollars for members .
Our family enjoys going to films at the omni theater . Sitting in the shows . Trying out the many different labs . So much to see and learn . We also enjoy the store . Lots of little treasures you cant find anywhere eles . Plus you get a discount with your membership .
We find its much cheaper to bring snacks or sandwhiches . They have lockers on the first floor where you can put stuff in if you dont want to carry things around . You do have to pay for the lockers .
There are three eatery places at the science . The first ones is when you first walk in they have your coffee, tea, juice, and bakery goods . One on lower level and found the prices to be very high . And poor service . On the top by the omni theater there is another place to eat thats a little cheaper and more food options . And lots more seating and its a not as noisy.
In the spring in the back you can play minture golf, look for gold . Those are added cost . There is also free stuff you can do back there .

We took our granddaughters to the museum and there were a ton of educational exhibits the allowed them to interact with weights, light, balance and science. Be sure to grab a selfie with one of the dinosaurs!

First thing to know is parking is $10 which really adds to the admission price. It's not a cheap museum but it is good. All the exhibits were in good working order and you can bring your own lunch to eat. Unfortunately there were a few issues. My dad ordered a coffee and then took it back because it was warm, he was told it was his fault for adding cream! They refused to heat it up for him- nice way to treat a 70 year old! The other thing I took issue with was something mentioned during the live science show. We loved the live science show and saw many of them throughout the day. However the script for on of the shows about gut bacteria off handedly mentioned that long courses of antibiotics cause autism!!!!! My son is autistic and was with us for the show. This is far from proven science on a very personal issue and to off handedly mention it was very irresponsible not to mention offensive. My son now thinks he has autism because of drugs I have him- very upset.
