Food is good, service is good and there was no rushing us to serve others. Nice neighborhood that will be fun to stroll around in warmer weather. Friendly wait staff. Not a fancy place to eat but you will be comfortable with good food at reasonable prices.

The restaurant is warm and inviting, without quite the noise level of many similar restaurants on Grand. There were enough food options, including varying appetizers, that everyone should find something. There appeared to be enough staff on hand, including servers, bus staff and management, but the pacing of the meal was odd. We waited after dinner for our coffee and then we waited more than 10 minutes for dessert for which we had chosen ice cream. Tip: We heard people complaining about finding on street parking; there is a parking lot behind the building that is available to guests.

A few years ago this was not a very good restaurant. Friends said it was better, but it is not. Service and setting are excellent. The food was not good. Humus loaded with garlic. Beer cheese soup was good but loaded with teeth cracking unpopped kernels of corn. Caesar salad was basically devoid of dressing. The serving of pasta for the three course meal was tiny...a good thing because it was loaded with garlic and not appealing. Coffee, bread and desert were good.

Muffaletta is tucked into a University neighborhood that is very charming - bookstores, tea room, that sort of thing. There is a patio, but it was too cold that day to sit outside. It was very busy during the lunch hour, so service was a little on the slow side. Food was excellent - wild rice turkey burger with cranberry relish, and I couldn't pass up the heirloom tomato soup with fennel. Prices were very reasonable. Afterwards, cruise down to the other end of Como and go to the Conservatory!

We had a wonderful dinner, with flavorful fresh food and tasty appetizers. The menu is interesting and changes seasonally to include local farms and offerings.
