We went here on a whim and Reservations are highly recommended as we were left with only bar seating, there are about 8 seats and we only waited about 15 minutes for 2 to open up. Our server, Christine specializes in a spoken word delivery of the menu, personally I found it a bit hard to understand what the options where and sounded a bit like a recantation of a witches brew, perhaps because we were there the night before Halloween but it did make ordering interesting. We started with a bottle of Malbec($40) a Fresca Salad($8) and two of the specials, a Passera($35) which was a white fish, potatoes, and vegetables, and the Costata ($44) a piece of veal on a bed of Risotto. The Veal on the bed of Risotto was amazing, the other dish was good, just not as great. I was a bit surprised when we got the bill($140) as prices aren't given on any of the specials but the food was really good and the atmosphere makes for a great time.

LaGrolla was recommended to us and for my husband's 60th birthday we decided to try it. We were told to definiately make reservations; glad we did. The place is jumping; quaint and a nice upscale yuppy place. Had great reviews and they did not disappoint. It is situated near Moscow on the Hudson, Gnomes, and Fabulous Ferns. It is nice to see what great restaurants popping up on Selby. Loved the atmosphere, the food is all homemade i.e. pasta, the breads etc. The only downside, if there is any, is that the tables are pretty close together due to the how small the restaurant is. But don't let that stop you from coming. Fabulous eats.

This is a small, quaint Italian restaurant.
It has lovely outdoor spaces, but sadly it was too cold to experience that the night we dined there.
It was definitely busy b/c of the small space, so I would consider reservations a must. It was also a little noisy, but the service was great and the food was absolutely delicious.

It helps to have a reservation. we didn't. We were seated, but the table was directly under some AC ducts and we were cold the entire time. However, service was good, other than that, and the food was truely great. There were some things on the menu that were compatible with my wife's allergies.

We were happy to have dinner in the sheltered garden of this neighborhood gem. The most outstanding feature of our visit was the waiter--an upbeat young fellow with a quick wit who gave attentive service. Our dinners were all good...perhaps not great, but just fine for one of the last warm evenings of the season. We were able to get a table on a Friday evening without a reservation...no small thing in a neighborhood brimming with small restaurants. This does not imply that it is a lesser restaurant...I think we just got lucky.
