Waiter was very friendly and accommodating. We both had omelettes which were excellent and quite filling.

They have a variety of good choices and a small buffet everyday with alternating choices and salad bar. The have regular menu as well for you to pick from and everything is very well done.

I periodically meet friends here for lunch. Lots of options - good food and never too crowded. I typically have one of their seasonal salads which are delicious.

This is our third visit to M St this year and this review will be a bit different from my last. As a unique experience, it is great, but I am not sure that I will be a frequent diner. There is a sameness to the M St that is unfortunate. While the food is good and tasty, it changes little from visit to visit. Since it's a brunch, the breakfast stuff is nearly identical every visit--eggs benedict, omelet station, sausage, bacon, etc. The dessert bar, while it has a nice array of choices, appear to be the same choices from visit to visit. The salad selection has nice shrimp and a chef's creation but again, the choice is limited and similar each time. This visit was Thanksgiving, so the hot choices there were the usual--turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, dressing and, I think one vegetable choice. Oddly there was salmon, good but not a typical Thanksgiving fare. What amazes me about M St is the absence of bread . . . none, zip, nada! Unless you count the waffles. This is weird for a meal like Thanksgiving. All of this would have been ok if the M St put the menu on their website, but if it was up, I couldn't find it. So, my guess is that all the meals take the form of a brunch . . . with breakfast served into the late afternoon and relatively simple hot choices. This means that to become a regular would mean eating more or less the same meal every time with minor variations. Variety is the spice of life. Moreover, Thanksgiving and Christmas (our first visit) are not typical brunch meals. A few other choices would be an improvement. Last year we came on Christmas and it was unique, but the newness has worn off.

The service is excellent though, and my wife loves the coffee. Will I come again? Perhaps, but not for something new as there doesn't seem to be creativity in the menu. Too bad really as the potential is there for something better.
