“Only non-smoking casino in Biloxi”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 May 2012

My husband and I stayed here one night durig the week. King Room without a great view was less than $100. Bathroom is small and room is basic. You aren't in the room that much. The best thing about this casino is it is non-smoking You can gamble your $$$ without inhaling smoke.

Room Tip: Unless you are going to stay in your room and look at the window, don't go for the upgrade of the...

We've been coming to the Palace for several years, and earlier, before the hotel was destroyed by Kaltrina. Have always loved the location; it's tops for taking pix. The rooms are extremely nice, pleasantly decorated and well furnished. We have only had one problem; several years ago I had a broken ankle and was on crutches; had asked for a room near the elevator but we were instead situated at the end of the hall. So ... ! But I had a great time at the Mardi Gras parade; just figured that someone slightly goofed! Service at the check in has always been handled beautifully; ALL the employees we have met have been more than just helpful and polite but extra. We are looking forward to our visit next week; actuallly, I can hardly wait to get there! Talk with you later!!!

Room Tip: Not certain what all travelers are looking for; this is a very pleasant and well staffed hotel; food...

Stayed only one night while traveling thru Biloxi but enjoyed our stay. Room was very spacious and clean with a view of the water. Quiet and nicely furnished. Good value. Casino area was nicely done and not very busy. Non-smoking was great for us! Restaraunts were adequate but not great.

Check in was super fast and polite. We get to our room and find a lightbulb out of the lamp so we had to call downstairs. Then the a leg fell off the chair ottoman which was outdated. Housekeeping was not friendly on any day of our stay. The first day in our room had food from previous guest and their hair ugghh. The rooms are big and the bathrooms are nice except for the cheap shower curtain and no exhaust fan. Toiletries provided are high end. Hotel is smoke free so it smelled fresh, but the bed was hard as a slab of concrete. The pillows 2 per bed are so small and soft it was pathetic. Bring your own pillow to be comfortable. Checkout was quick and painless. Bellman were fast and very efficient. Valet lady was to interested in texting and chatting with her associates. I was not impressed overall with the property. The lobby is lavish, but the staff has some problems. The rooms need to updated and the beds softer. The Palace will have to step it up to compete with the upscale casinos in Biloxi.

We have been going to the Palace for years and enjoying it.....Now it is completely redone and is non-smoking throughout. I would recomment it highly to people who enjoy a little gambling, but don't enjoy all the smoke. They also have a wonderful Kobe Burger in the new Sports Bar. Both of the bars have happy hours from 5 to 7 each evening.

This casino is definitely the most reasonably priced in the area for those of us just passing through and not high-rollers. My husband and I thought it would be fun to spend one night at a casino in Biloxi while traveling through the area, but most of them were either full or had room rates starting around $250 for the night. The Palace rate was $89 + tax, so we took it since we were arriving late and leaving early. It definitely caters to seniors! I think we were the only ones there under 70! Many were using mobility equipment, such as walkers, wheelchairs and canes. The casino was well-equipped for them, and there were many gaming specials offered for those 55 and over. This appears to be an older hotel that has been refurbished. The bed was very comfortable, and the room clean but poorly lit. There was a makeup/shaving mirror on the wall in the sink area, but it was located on the wall on the opposite end from the sink, making it not too usable, and was in an awkward location between the toilet and end of the counter. There was a coffee maker and supplies located on the bathroom counter, a most unsanitary spot for it considering the hair and the things one does in the sink area. I can't understand why hotels feel this is a good location for a coffee maker, but many of them seem to place it there. Ours had toothpaste spatters on it. This is the only non-smoking hotel and casino in the area. The front desk attendants were pleasant and helpful. The lobby is quite dark. When we checked out in the a.m., the casino was virtually empty, so that would probably be a great time to gamble! Although we found a much younger crowd at both the Hard Rock and the Beau Rivage, I won more money at the Palace on my second spin than I did anywhere else the whole evening. We were also given coupons for complimentary drinks at the hotel bar. They bar tender was pleasant to talk with, and the drinks were good.

Our recent stay at the Palace started out with a few hiccups, but things soon smoothed out. In spite of our late afternoon arrival on a Wednesday, our room was not ready. We had to kill some 45 minutes before the room was OK. That said, we got a great rate for a wonderful corner high floor room with a killer view of the bay and boat harbor. The room was spacious and quiet. We used the hot tub which was nice, but the pool itself was a bit chilly. I was surprised that we did not get comped for drinks at a casino bar even though I was playing a machine there, but that was no big deal. I did like that the casino is totally non smoking. That is unique for casino's in the US these days. Restaurant prices here we spendy but we did have a nice sandwich at the coffee shop. If I could get a good rate like on this trip I'd stay here again.

Room Tip: Higher floor - corner room.
