The food was good but the service was great. Southern hospitality at it's best. I had buffalo shrimp
It was great. Reasonably priced too.

The two stars are for the view. The overpriced food is just the worst that America has to offer. Fabulous seafood cooked really really badly and served like it was in some quick cheap fast food place in the back of beyond. The husband’s overcooked crab claws, in thick tasteless breadcrumb crusts, were served with an ok baked potato, still wrapped in foil, that came with a large plastic sachet of sour cream actually tucked in between the two halves so he had to dig it out with his fingers to open. My blackened shrimp were hot, but not spicy hot at all. The accompaniments of tartare sauce and tomato salsa were tasteless, bog-standard gloop that had been squirted out of some vast vat into plastic pots and plonked on top of the food. Just ghastly!

This turned out to be the worst meal during our visit in Biloxi. It was a suggestion from a local. Maybe we should have ignored it. Our service was actually very good. The best part of the meal was the oysters on the half shell. At $8 a dozen, they were a steal. They were delicious. Everything else fell short. The crab cakes were not good, way to much filler. The bread for the Po' boy sandwiches was very chewy and the blue crab claw dinner was overcooked. This place might be a Biloxi institution, but they need to get it together. $200+ for a lunch for 5 with mediocre food is not right.

Theresa was our waitress. Food was so good. We visited their other location for breakfast in Ocean Spring and was very good but Teresa told us that the Biloxi location was the original. Ship romalaude was wonderful and fried shrimp awesome. We will be back

The views are beautiful! That’s the best thing about McElroys. Breakfast is soap, just your random bacon and eggs type place. We order the beignets and they were heavy and think. The only thing sweet about them was the sugar that covered them. Don’t expect them to be like Cafe DuMond beignets.
