It would have been a 5 but my wife says the bathrooms could us a little work. There is a lake, three baseball diamonds, Disc golf, Football, Tennis and lots more.

My family and I do not live far from here. On the weekends you can ski or ride inner tubes. We do this just about every weekend

We stayed here three nights while attending a High School Graduation. Some of the bulbs were burned out in the lamps.
THE GLASS SLIDING DOOR DID NOT LOCK. They had a bar to put in the track to keep it from opening. The floor needed cleaning. The beds were saggy. The microwave had rust inside. The furniture was dirty. The book said it was built in 1983. I suspect the same furniture and drapes are still there.
Best of all the AC worked on 3 very humid days and there were plenty of towels.

We camped at the park over Memorial Day weekend, right by the lake. The area we were in was full, but every one of us fought sugar ants all weekend. We advised the park, but was told they were out of ant poison and suggested we purchase some ourselves. We made the purchase and sprayed out entire camper and outside, however the ants remained a problem. After speaking with several others camping around us, the complaints were all the same, everyone was swarmed with sugar ants. The park is beautiful and the staff is friendly, but may rethink coming back this time of year. Also, Camping spots are really close together.

Lake Lowndes State Park is the best outdoor venue in northeast Mississippi. The lake itself is not all that big, but the park surrounding it is really beautiful, with rolling hills. Lots of people use the RV campground, plus there is great hiking, fishing and frisbee golf.

We camp at Lake Lowndes on a regular basis. The staff is friendly and helpful. They do a great job of keeping the grounds clean and looking good. There is a campground, beautiful lake for boating or fishing, ball fields, basketball gym, and disc golf course.

I didn't like the fact that they had a "honor box" for admittance on a Sunday. First visit, so it's hard to pay $4 when the smallest bill you have is a $20. There were tons of people playing frisbee golf. A lot of people enjoying the amenities such as tennis court, walking trails, etc. A lot of people with their dogs, which was nice.
