Got charged for a night I had canceled two weeks before, took over a week to get that charge reversed. Got charged a premium rate for a night we did stay, even though my husband paid for the room on his credit card. Took several days for the charge to drop off my account. Room was questionable. Carpet felt damp and dirty and air conditioning was mediocre at best. Have stayed at this hotel many times and never had a problem or complaint. This time, however, was less than pleasing.

I can honestly say this was a nightmare. We have stayed at other Baymonts and have always been pleased. This visit was for five reserved rooms through Booking.com. Upon a 5:30 arrival the rooms were not ready. Check in time is 3 PM. When we were finally able to get in the keys didn't work. We made three trips up and down the elevator to try different keys. Some of us even had to change rooms. One member of our party opened their room to find it already occupied. Some of our other experiences were dirty towels left behind, smoke detectors covered with plastic bags, curtains that were rotten on the backside from the sun, baseboards peeling from the walls, dirt and bugs in the window seals, vanity mirror's coming off-the-walls, ironing board's with no iron's, some rooms didn't have wastebaskets or cups, and the beds were lumpy. The hallways were hot and filthy also. The ice and soda machines were empty, and the phones did not work. The staff is lazy to say the least.
I will add that the breakfast was not too bad. It was fresh and the display was clean.

This is a nice-enough property for the price. It was clean enough, everyone was friendly enough. Wi-if was consistent and the TV had a nice selection. There were some little things that I noticed that could be fixed. There was a gap in the top of the curtains that strategically aimed the morning light right into my eyes. I used a clothes hangar to clip that closed. The bathroom was really small. The biggest "thing" was the free breakfast. I've been in 8 hotels in the last month so I know about free breakfasts. The pro: there was a hot protein every morning (egg patties and sausage patties). There was sausage gravy, too, but the biscuits were in that plexiglass display and looked hard and dry. There was a working waffle machine, but there was no sugar-free syrup. The cons: The plexiglass display had the most meager selection of items. Four or five tiny cinnamon rolls (evenly spaced!), same thing for the mini-muffins. There was a couple of slices of bread, each slice in a zip-top baggie. 4 different cereals and a pitcher of milk in the fridge. Three evenly-spaced apples in the fridge, and a bowl of margarine spread singles for that piece of toast. No jelly, no butter, no English muffins or bagels or even appetizing-looking pastries! The coffee was not good at all and there was no half and half or liquid creamer. Just a box of powdered creamer, sugar, and sweet-n-low. I know this sounds petty, but it really was like trying to find something to eat when you need to go to the grocery. I travel for work a great deal. Come on guys, you can do MUCH better in the breakfast department! It's the most important meal of the day!!! It is also located in a safe area. There are many food choices nearby, and an outlet mall and cinema are very close as well. I would stay there again, but I'd have to pay money for breakfast.

Things are really looking good at the Baymont on I-55 North. The weather is hinder the outside work, however the color scheme looks good. The inside need a little more attention to detail. Asst Mgr. Shay's doing a good job with her staff. The guest need drinking cups in every room. Housekeeping must pay more attention to the cleanest of the room. I've found hair from the previous guest left in the rooms. Towels use for floor mats at the shower and the tub were not present. The outside smoking is still an eye sore for non-smoking guest. There is still the problem with potholes on the south side of the building.
