Very comfortable & well appointed accommodation, just a few yards from the beach. Easy access with free private off-road parking. Looking forward to returning soon and enjoying again this unspoilt coastal location.

“Really cosy cottage”
Reviewed November 11, 2013 for a stay in October 2013

Chesil Lodge Cottage was just what we needed for a short break - the weather was chilly and damp but the cottage was cosy, warm and very comfortable. We only brought one teenager with us but it would have been fine with two. The location is lovely - you can hear the waves and see the sea from the cottage and its just a short walk to the beach which is wild and unspoilt. The cottage is very well equipped - the first self-catering accommodation we have stayed in with a sandwich toaster and a slow cooker! We would definitely have used both if we had stayed longer. The only thing we missed was a spot light for reading in the evening. We would strongly recommend this cottage for an 'away from it all' break in a lovely part of Dorset.

“A hidden gem by the beach.”
Reviewed September 22, 2013 for a stay in September 2013

We were looking for a quick weekend getaway in rural Dorset by the beach, for a spot of walking and fishing. Chesil lodge was a revelation. Easy to find, sea views from the accommodation, 2 minutes from the stunning chesil beach, with views of both devon and portland. The cottage is a well thought out pine chalet with everthing you could want and a washing machine which we didn't use. The owners were really helpful with tips on where to go and where to eat, and the pub/ restaurant just up the road was great. We only stayed for the weekend but I think you could easily stay for a week or two.
Fishing was excellent, and the bonus was being able to nip back, go to the loo and grab a beer from the fridge before returning to the beach for another bass!!
Thanks Helen and Chris for a great weekend, in your superb chalet, and I hope we will return soon.
