The Wheaty is, perhaps, the last-surviving traditional pub in the village. The present owners have done much to preserve the personality of the pub whilst banishing some of the cliquiness that can creep in. The door often being open speaks volumes. It is easy to imagine the farm labourers and mill workers that would have drunk mead here in the 19th century. There is a spacious and charming garden that first-time visitors would not be aware of. I'm biased having first sneaked in here in 1974 when Harold and Edie had it, but not wrong.

Great Pub!

Good beer and good quick service at the bar.

The pub also has regular music with the Rusty Rovers playing. A good Folk band that helps to make a very good night out.

The pub also offers live sport, which adds to the attraction.

All in all well worth a visit for a beer!

Friendly staff, fast service, nice selection of real ale including local Surrey beer. Music not to loud so we could comfortably talk. Even the facilities were clean. Had a great evening out.
