Saved about $20 by staying here...of course no breakfast offered...but we ate yogurt and granola bars we brought, and had coffee from the office. Okay for one breakfast. (Went by iHop but there was no parking left!) Had mixed feelings about this establishment. First room they gave us was on the building that the office is not in, and located on the top (third) floor and on the southwest side with the sun beating on it (heat index over 100*). The room was HOT even though the a/c was on. After turning the a/c on max cold and max fan and waiting about an hour and it was still hot (uncomfortable)...so went to office. They gave us a room on the other side of the hallway. The a/c in that room was like an iceberg...WONDERFUL! Also the room was an upgrade with no additional fee...so that made us happy that the manager wanted the customer to be satisfied. The perks about the upgrade room was no yellow stains on the ceiling, no stains on the carpeting, two sinks and countertops - one inside the bathroom and one outside. Besides the shower/tub combo in the bathroom there was a jaccuzi tub in the main part of the room. We did not use it. Both rooms were clean...esp the bathrooms - nice. Towels and water pressure were adequate. Pleased that the sink faucets didn't have water restrictors on them like in some Motel 6. Room was very soundproof. Bed was firm but fine, and the pillows and linens were all fine. The upgraded room had a flatscreen tv, whereas the standard room had an old-style tube tv. Main irritant was that the door into the building was missing its crash bar and most of the time was hanging wide open as no way to latch it, so any one could walk right in...and the heat poured in.
There are two buildings to this establishment...one has an outdoor pool and the other an indoor pool. We did not use or even look at either of them...but since the motel was at a 'no vacancy' status...there were plenty of wet children in the hallways and elevator. Yes, there is an elevator in the three story building we stayed in...that is a plus, as some hotels in Branson lack elevators.
The free Wifi worked well in both rooms.
Would we stay here again? If we desired inexpensive accommodations and for one night...yes, we would.
