Description: Voted "The Best Overall Restaurant" in Branson, Missouri, our historic floating restaurant is located just off the shore of Lake Taneycomo on the famous White River of the Ozarks. Floor-to-ceiling glass offers dramatic views of this beautiful waterway; in fact, many of our guests arrive by boat, tying up on our pier to rest and enjoy a leisurely dinner and drinks. As the name suggests, fresh seafood is the focus here, with a range of delicious entrees from both fresh and saltwater-but the menu also features hearty steaks, chicken, and ribs, plus sandwiches and burgers. Celebrating the traditional flavors of the Ozark Mountains and our love of the water, the White River Fish House promises a unique and memorable dining experience for young and old alike.

On arrival at the restaurant we were told that there was a 20 minute wait which was not a problem. The 20 minute wait came and went; on inquiry we were told that a table would be ready in 5 minutes but were shortly after informed by the manager that we would have to wait a further 20 minutes.
After nearly an hour our patience was well tested and we decided to leave but the manager said our table was being cleaned!
Eventually we were seated and proceeded with our meal; an average one at that after waiting so long. At least the wait staff was helpful.

I was disappointed in the food. The decor and location were top notch but the food was just average. I was expecting so much more! We were starving so we inhaled the cornbread (yum) and appetizers of venison stuffed mushrooms and spinach dip. But the disappointment were the four Almondine Trout dishes which were supposed to be a house specialty. They were just ok and a bit on the scrawny side. Basically, this should have been better - maybe we hit them on an off day?

The food was good and the service was prompt and friendly. The best part of this restaurant was the atmosphere. It's right on Lake Taneycomo, it's fun and the view is pretty.

We decided to eat here after many missed opportunities. The food was good, a bit pricey (but hey, its a Bass Pro Shops establishment), but we had a good experience. Our waitress was new (nervous and lacking confidence), but did a great job. We didn't have a wait time, we were able to go straight to a booth. Menu was full of choices. Went with the alligator tail appetizer- super good considering we are in Missouri! Hubby had the Ahi Tuna and I had the Islamorada Fish sandwich. The only thing I would change about my sandwich was to have them add shredded lettuce and tomato to make it "more authentically Keys-style".

This is a restaurant that sits on the lake right by Bass Pro Shop. Parking is a nightmare as you are competing with all the people going to Bass Pro or the Landing. Random walkways then lead down to the restaurant. Inside the decor is amazing. All you would expect from Bass Pro. We sat in the back of the restaurant and had a nice few of the lake and could see boats and the zip line. They will not seat you till every single person in your party is inside the building and they can see them. Server was attentive and service was a decent pace. Their cornbread is really good! I got the Top Sirloin. Cooked good, but very small and drowning in butter. Yuck. We also had the Chicken Fried Chicken. It was AWFUL. Hard, dry, and like eating rubber. Others at our table had the trout and said it was pretty good. Kids meals were average. Although we loved the atmosphere, this is not a place I would recommend to others.
