We stopped in Hannibal overnight on our way from Kansas City to Illinois. We had breakfast at Becky Thatcher's Diner in the historic part of Hannibal. It was within walking distance from our hotel, on the "main drag", and proved to be a good choice. The interesting decor and background music are that of a 50's diner. The service was homey, friendly and efficient, although the waitress didn't know whether Becky Thatcher was historical or fictional when I asked her. The food was good and the cost was reasonable. We were glad we'd chosen to go there.
