For those responsible for booking the "family reunion" holiday you will no doubt have serached many many sites, so when I came accross Simply Salema there was a bit of this just looks too good to be true - I can assure you that there is no catch. This villa lived up to and beyond expectation on all fronts. If there was a rating for private villas Cassa Estevas would definately be 5* plus for comfort, location, views, pool area, games room, quality of furnishings and linen. All rooms have private bathroom and all with the most amazing sea view. There is more than enough room for everyone to have their space and the pleasure of waking in the morning to magnificent sunrises whilst enjoying the privacy of your own balcony space was very special. Great service from the time of booking and from the Villa Manager. Comprehensive information on local restaurants/bars and activities was much appreciated. All in all a great house for a family reunion, group of friends for a simply amazing holiday.

Wow! Have just returned from a wonderful week in Salema at Casa das Estevaz with a group of friends. The house is wonderfully located with views to sea from almost every room. The sounds of the waves lapping the rocks below lulled us to sleep and then a dip in those same waves in the morning woke us up splendidly. The house was extremely clean and well equipped and made for a very easy and relaxing week. The restaurants and bars as well as the main beach of Salema were less than 10 minutes walk away meant minimum stress!

Casa das Estavas was wonderful for our March, 2010 week. Very close to the beach and downtown Salema. An unrestricted view of the Atlantic. Great facilities. We planned to do more away-from-the-house activities, but found ourselves relaxing at the house. It is perfect for a group of ten or less.

We spent a week in this wonderful villa in June as a family group with young children and loved it.

It was only a short drive from Faro airport which was a real bonus and we even got a discount on the car hiire cost as we'd booked through SImply Morzine (make sure you ask the Simply Salema team about this).

We arrived at the Villa in the early evening and were thrilled with the quality, style and cleanliness of the villa and its facilities - pool, games room etc. My wife is a stickler for cleanliness and it even met her standards!!!! The rooms are very well decorated and the communal areas offer loads of extra, DVD player, flat screen tv, books etc. and loads of info about the village of salema and the local area and all there is to do.

Salema - a relatively quiet fishing village ( get up early and you can watch the fishing boats land there catch on the beach) with a few good bars and a few good restaurants. we ate at the villa most nights ( on the balcny overlooking the sea - awesome) and ate out a few times and were more than well enough catered for.

Lagos is a town only a short drive away (back towards Faro) with a supermarket, marina, and great fish market where all the fish caught in the local villages is bought to be sold. loads of shops, galleries ( its a bit of an art centre) pubs, restaurants. we spent 2 days there and its close enough to just pop out for some essentials.

There's loads of golf nearby if thats your thing - we didn;t get chance to play but will do on our next trip.

The villa hold pride of place atop the cliff overlooking the village and the beach and the seascape. Villa has a pool, table tennis, 6ft snooker, table football , darts, more than enough to entertain the kids.

We're hoping to get out there again early next year.

I booked this self catering villa to celebrate my elder son's 40th birthday. All nine of our family stayed there including two boys aged 8 and 6 and a baby of 9 months, plus their two sets of parents and we - the grandparents. The children loved the swimming pool and games room. The kitchen was extremely well equipped and the villa furnished to the highest possible standards. The villa was so spacious that we could all 'do our own thing' if we so wished. Considering we had three generations living there it was perfect for all of our needs. The views from this villa are stunning - the early morning sun rising over the sea, is quite spectacular. Salema itself is a peaceful little fishing village with a sandy beach and excellent restaurants.

Mike, the owner was extremely helpful regarding the logistics of flights and transfers - much appreciated as we were travelling from different airports at different times.
