This was our first time at this venue and we will be looking to see who is playing there for another visit. There was good information on the website about seating(and standing), food and drink availability and parking. We got our tickets online, got there just after the gates opened, and found a spot on the fence center stage. The VIP section was right in front of us and they could park closer so that might be worth the extra $ but we had an amazing evening. The beer was cold and the jalapeno poppers were hot. The wood chips make it easier to stand if you see a show where they dont allow lawn chairs and blankets

The Crossroads district in just off downtown Kansas City, Missouri is loaded with galleries, exhibits and boutique restaurants. For those looking for high end dining, there are several very nice, popular venues on the south end, bordering the railyards. The area has become hughly popular with locals and weekends are packed.

Take some time and enjoy the Crossroads District on your next "first friday" or on the weekend. There are now lots of galleries, art shops and restaurants I bet you haven't tried yet and it's really put a shine on the south side of downtown KC.

The Crossroads has evolved over the years as the arts district. As more and more artists moved into the area it was naturally followed by a number of small galleries and eventually, a number of restaurants ranging from cheap eats to fine dining.

The crossroads is an excellent arts district in Kansas City. I have enjoyed going to First Fridays on several occasions, walking through the galleries and shopping. I especially love Birdie's lingerie shop! Friendly people and gorgeous lingerie. There are a slew of great restaurants here, though I haven't tried many yet. Grinder's has great pizza.

The concert venue is really different from what I'm used to but I really liked it. It is a fenced in outdoor area covered in mulch. It is more comfortable to stand on than cement! They offer bar service and Grinder's opens a window to sell pizza and drinks as well. It is pretty easy to see from most areas because the ground is sloped in places. Port-a-potties... the usual. Exiting was pretty strange. Rather than opening up the gates where you enter, they filter everyone through Grinder's small restaurant. We felt a lot like cattle. Also, I've noticed the tickets are a little more overpriced than they should be. Not sure why. Even lesser known artists have expensive tickets here.

Overall: Great district. Great venue.
