Description: In the five years since Waldo Pizza last won this category, Phil Bourne's KC institution has inched nearer the quarter-century mark with an ever-growing beer list, a popular gluten-free crust and yet another expansion of the original site. What hasn't changed: the place's dead-solid reliability. That might sound like faint praise, until you remember the second law of restaurant thermodynamics: entropy. Even beloved destinations occasionally coast, sometimes to a full stop. Not Waldo Pizza, where Bourne and a crew including not just regulars but lifers keep vigil over the details while attending devoutly to customers. A wall of Saturday-night families, a switchboard lit up with delivery orders, a keg about to run dry — none of these eventualities lead to so much as a stray green-pepper sliver when your pie shows up in front of you. But bring on the green peppers — and the banana peppers and the spicy beef and the cheddar and everything else on a menu that's long on good ideas.

Waldo Pizza has been a favorite of ours for a couple of decades! 4 different kinds of crust & many toppings to choose from & pastas too. Not to mention their great salad bar & friendly staff. Looking for lunch? Try their all-you-can-eat, which includes a pasta & dessert pizza. After trying Waldo Pizza you'll agree:. Corporate Pizza Sucks!

We really enjoyed this place. The staff was great, from the great bearded man who showed us to our table, to the server who took our order and offered guidance and suggestions, to the manager who helped resolve a misunderstanding about what my friend had ordered. Fun atmosphere, reasonable prices, good food, great staff. I'll definitely look forward to going here again!

We were out of town guests staying with family members who reside in KC, MO. They took us to Waldo's and were blown away by the variety of pizza offered. The wait staff were fast and efficient and the pizza was delicious. If you can't find a pizza at Waldo's which excites and satisfies your pallet, you must be confusing pizza with another food group. It's a great place to eat and great value for the money...can't wait to return to KC to visit Waldo's.

My son lived in Waldo area so he suggested it, I thought, "O'boy another crappy pizza place." But was I surprised, really good pizza and a large selection of very cold beers. Would definitely go back!!

I was reading an internet story about the best buffet in each state recently. Waldo Pizza was the pick for Missouri. I grew up in KC but had never hear of it so we tried their buffet today for lunch.

It is located in the Waldo neighborhood with many unique businesses.

We were seated quickly. Our waitress was friendly and kept our drinks full

The buffet included a big salad bar, pizza, pasta, and dessert pizza.

The specialize in thin crust pizza and also have a thicker hand tossed crust. The thin crust was very good. The best thing on the buffet was their pasta. The pasta we had reminded me of beef stroganoff withe penne pasta , beef and a creamy sauce.

They also offer gluten free pizza which my wife tried ( not on buffet). She like it as well.

Buffet is reasonably priced it 7.99

We had s great experience and will be back

Thank Tom B
