We've been waiting 7 years to finally get to eat in this restaurant with the best thing about it being the name (a great British car) and the second best thing the outside appearance. Sadly it does not live up the good reputation, even though it was pretty packed (which also made it incredibly noisy). It was my birthday, but we were seated in a dark place not far from the entrance. They say you can see the lake, ha, if you can look through people. Half way through my salad I ate something very, incredibly hot (and I am not to have hot or spicy) - in a salad, seriously?!?!? The meat was chewy and gristle, the potatoes under-cooked and hard, but the mushrooms and onions were great as were the warm rolls. I took most of my meal home to cook it again. It was altogether a huge let down and we will not be going back anytime soon. It sadly does not live up to either its name or reputation. J. Brunners or Baxters are much better options.
