We enjoyed the view and the great hikes!! But the hotel had a few issues. No not water. No working elevator. Long walk to the parking lot. But we would stay again as we saw lots of animals including bears!!saw lots

Loved my stay at the Many Glacier Hotel. I was hesitant after reading some negative reviews but my stay was fantastic. I had a lakeside room (240) with a balcony. Supposed to be a shared balcony but this particular room had the balcony to myself. Room was not huge but not small. Bathroom was clean and plenty of space. Very clean. Hotel is historic so there is no cell service, no wifi (well the lobby may get it sporadically), and no TV which was fine with me. The view is incredible. Staff were very nice. Check in was delayed a bit but was taken care of. Coffee and hot chocolate are served in the lower level for about 2 dollars each. I recommend a hot chocolate while sitting on your balcony. Took the boat ride and hiked to grinnel lake. Highly recommend both! Also, the road to Many Glacier has potholes but it's not as bad as everyone says especially if you have ever driven on a backroad in your life. :)

Room Tip: room 240 had a double bed and a balcony to yourself. Next to ice machine but not bothersome.

As you approach the motel,it's like a Swiss lodge...the mountains surrounding it and Swift Current Lake with it's aqua marine color takes your breath away! As you enter the hotel, there is a magnificent grand room with a huge fireplace and full size windows to view the mountains, lake and wild life! Everyone spends their time sitting by the windows. You meet a lot of nice people from all over the world and from many states! The rooms were very clean and comfortable! No tv,limited wifi. The staff and bellboys were fantastic, food was great! A wonderful place to experience!!!!!

The hotel is very Swiss themed, with everything there named after Swiss Alps, even the Heidi Snack Shop. The men staff even wear Lederhosen shorts. Not a bad thing, just a little overdone. The property, however, is magnificently situated, between a lake (reservoir) and the fabulous mountains of Glacier National Park.

Husband and I splurged ($300/night for a king with park view) on a 4-night stay at Many Glacier recently. We were eager to check out the Many Glacier area as we had only stayed at the Apgar Village side of the park for our many previous visits.
The Good:
The views are amazing
The room was spacious and recently updated
Huckleberry beverages in the bar were delicious (though inconsistently made)
Historical inn

The Bad:
Mice in the room
Bumpy awful road to hotel
Crazy expensive for what you get
WiFi is slim-to-none

I say stay at least once.

Stayed: July 2017, travelled as a couple
