A big well-situated hotel close to everything but totally NOT sound-proof. You could hear every noice from above and next-door. Extremely irritating early mornings...
The hotel restaurant had a very inefficient system of seating people at breakfast. Too often you had to stand in line to get a table even if there were empty tables available.

Room tip: See to to get a room on the third floor to avoid noice from above

Stayed here for week for a conference and brought my 8 year old daughter. You cannot beat the location. Within 5 min you can be from your room to the ski school and the lifts. Hotel is older (1970's) and has a nice lodge feel. Breakfast buffet has something for everyone. Rooms could use an update (especially bathroom counter height and lighting), but how much time are you in your room? Noise from other guests was only a problem on Friday night after the bars closed; everything done and said in the hallway could be heard. They give you earplugs if you want them. Pool and hot tub were great after a long day.

Huntley Lodge isn't the nicest place at Big Sky. It is old but they understand that and do the best they can to make the stay enjoyable. This was actually one of the first lodges built so it has a lot of history. It's also nice because you can get a slope side room which is beautiful.

This is a very good hotel with an excellent location and a great breakfast. Breakfast begins at 6:30, although lifts don't open until 9. The rooms are large with good storage (although the main chest of drawers was in the TV stand and the drawers were very balky). . The noise problems are not quite as bad as others say, unless you are next to the pool as we were-there is a lot of noise until they shut it down at 10pm. The bathroom is adequately large, but with no storage (why do they do this-no drawers or storage under the sink), the shower is good although the spout is low, like face level. One thing-unless you have the night vision of a cat-bring a headlamp or a strong flashlight! Like many hotels and condos, there is no overhead lighting besides a small bulb close to the entry door. There are just 2 lamps with small bulbs. It's therefore very dark in the room and you will need a flashlight or headlamp to see anything in the drawers or your luggage. The service of the hotel staff is very good. There is also a boot storage room down by the exit so you can put on your ski boots there and store them after skiing-heated, so they will be dry and warm next morning. They give you a voucher so you can store your skis up by the lifts. All in all, I would definitely stay here again. There is wi fi in the rooms but it is slow.

Room tip: Don't be next to pool-noise

Read other reviews that complained of noise and was worried. Hotel did supply ear plugs, but I never had a problem with my room being noisy. However, we did run out of hot water a few times during peak hours (e.g, when everyone was coming off the slopes). Staff was super friendly and helpful! Extra perks -- a changing room to store and dry ski boots and free ski check -- were great. Breakfasts were awesome. Food at Chet's was good too (try the bison burger). Now, if they could only cure the hot water problem...
