Bozeman's gentrification was startling on our recent visit as our last visit was close to 20 years ago. Back then, we went to the Stockyard Cafe for breakfast and fell in love with the vibe of this place. People had their dogs sitting next to them at the counter and some of the decorations looked like they had been put in place decades ago. It still looks the same and the food is solid for a diner style place. The servers and cook were all accommodating and the visit brought back memories of the old Bozeman - where everyone was friendly and unpretentious. Watch out when you go "uptown" - boutique central - certainly not the wild west any more. Go to the Stockyard instead to see what it used to be like. . .
