“Exactly as advertised. HIGHLY recommended for Glacier trip!”
Reviewed 14 July 2011

Why take away any stars from the rating if their property was exactly as advertised? No Super 8 has ever claimed to be the Ritz Carlton. So knowing what Super 8's advertise and have to offer, we felt comfortable booking here as we are a mid-20's couple looking for a place to rest for the night. The rooms were clean, the bed was comfortable enough, the bathroom was squeaky clean (and appeared to have new fixtures in the bathtub), and the room was quite spacious. The a/c worked well and we really didn't hear noise from other guests, despite the hotel being booked solid that night. The breakfast spread left a little to be desired, but it was enough of a snack to hold us over and get us going. This is an unbeatable location for the West Glacier entrance, I think it took us about ten minutes to get there! I have also stayed in lodges inside the park before, and while the lodge does provide the experience, they are fairly run down, uncomfortable, with little to no amenities and if I remember correctly, no a/c in some places!!! If you are not an overly prissy person requiring 5-star accommodations, stay here when going to GNP, I know that we surely will next time!

We found the room to much larger than most Super 8 motels, was very clean, price was very reasonable. Beautiful view of mountains, 15 minutes to Glacier Park, 15 minutes to airport, 15 minutes to Whitefish (local resort town). We had a great bed, micro/ fridge in room. Breakfast is light, but we enjoyed a great breakfast at the local Cimmarron Cafe - returned for a fantastic dinner also! One mile to local grocery stores, post office, restaurants - nice little town. Staff was very friendly - enjoyed our stay.

Room Tip: Call motel directly to get what you want.

Desk clerk was very rude and unhelpful. We had mistakenly booked a smoking room and when we requested a non-smoking room, she acted like we were asking for the world. She also questioned (and argued) about our Gov't rate eligibility even thought I work on a military base. I would NOT stay here again.

We are not high maintenance travelers. That said, in all my years, this may very well be the worst bed I have ever had the misfortune to sleep on. The pillows were pancake thin and there were one per person so no chance to double up to make up for the lack. After six days on this bed, my first order of business will be a chiropractor. There is no support for the mattress and box springs because they have built a platform to rest the mattresses on that is more than 18" inside the mattresses leaving the edges of the bed to touch the floor. The location is OK and the price is reasonable, but if you are going to Glacier National Park, you have a fair drive ahead of you. I think in retrospect, we should have spent more to be closer in, but I needed wireless to check in with work and that's not available closer in on the west side of the park. The room was clean and the staff was nice. However, unless they buy all new mattresses, I would never stay their again.

This hotel had all the bases covered except,a computer with Internet service. They also could use a new set of towels, the present ones are pretty threadbare. The mattresses could also be replaced. Everything else was clean and well run. I liked the coffee in the hall which was always available.

Stopped here on the way to Glacier National Park. The room was old and worn out. Some things in the bathroom did not work and the toilet would backup. Bed was not comfortable. Poor continental breakfast.

We stayed at the Super 8 in columbia falls for one night on our way to glacier falls. Rooms are large, but very basic. Good value, but no frills. Would be far to travel to and from the park from here, but a short trip from the airport, so you can't beat the convenience!
