Excellent location just 45 minutes from Yellowstone with lots of things to do close by! We did some playing and fishing in Yellowstone river that was within walking distance of the home. We also enjoyed some hikes that where literally 4 miles from the house. The kitchen was fully stocked which made meals super easy. They had plenty of games for the kids to play and with the extra rooms there was plenty of space for everyone. The view was exceptionally beautiful and peaceful. We loved our stay.

We rented this house in conjunction with our son's wedding at Chico Hot Springs about 10 miles away. There was plenty of room for our extended family, and it was a great venue for hosting the rehearsal dinner. We found the house to be very casual with a true vacation home feel and plenty of room to spread out. The close proximity to the boat launch & day use are of Loch Leven made fishing and tubing readily accessible. Thanks very much to Polly & Art for offering this great vacation location!

“Awesome Experience”

I would recommend "Home In Paradise" if you are looking to stay in a cozy, casual, comfy, roomy, country setting located with beautiful views of the mountains. Conveniently located, we visited Yellowstone National Park 2 days (~45 minute scenic drive), toured the Lewis & Clark Caverns, drove to Big Sky Montana to ride the chair lift to the top of the mountains, and drove to Bozeman to visit a Planetarium and the Dinosaur Museum. Daley Lake is nearby to fish. Not much luck with big fish, but our 4 yr. old grandson had fun pulling in ring perch almost every cast. Pine Creek Trail is a short drive from the home. A hike on this trail leads to a beautiful waterfall. Don't forget your camera!

Livingston is about 20 minutes from the house. We enjoyed a lunch at Murry's Bar & Hotel and later had a cocktail at the Katabatic Brewing Co. Didn't find much for shopping in Livingston, but I highly recommend Gardiner, MT for souvenir shopping located just outside the North entrance of Yellowstone Park. Our last night stay at the house we took Art and Polly's advice and ordered a pizza from the restaurant in Emigrant. We all agreed that it was one of the best pizza's we ever had.

The house is conveniently equipped to prepare meals and seating on the deck to enjoy meals outdoors. The dish washer saved clean up time so we had time for evening walks to the Yellowstone River. A campfire pit in the back yard was a way to relax and reflect on the days events and discuss preparation for tomorrow. Relaxing on the deck with coffee in the morning or an evening cocktail, we enjoyed not only the beautiful colorful mountains, but also the birds that visited the feeders at all times of the day. The Magpie bird was of special interest.

Even though we were sad to leave Montana, our long journey back to Wisconsin didn't seem quite so long with all we had to reflect on from our fabulous family vacation at Home In Paradise. Thank you Art and Polly for memories we will hold forever.

The property views of the mountains were amazing. We were there in time for the harvest moon which was spectacular! The house was very clean and had wonderful views of the mountain landscapes from inside. The beds were very comfortable. The house is a short distance away from Pine Creek Trail which we hiked to see the majestic waterfalls. Only about an hour away from Yellowstone National Park which we spent a day touring and hiking. My husband and I were so relaxed each evening and enjoyed sitting out on the deck looking up at the stars. I would recommend this to anyone wishing to get away from all the stress of everyday life. Next time we will definitely try to stay at least 10 days as there is so much to do. Thank you Art and Polly.

“Shooting Stars and Peaceful Retreat”
Reviewed July 29, 2014 for a stay in July 2014

I didn't know what to expect since this was the first time I rented a home for our trip to Yellowstone. What was presented to us was more than I expected. We immediately settled in and explored the home which was well taken care of, and I knew the home was loved. My Nephew and Niece immediately took to the outside leaving their phones behind to explore with walkie-talkies. In the morning I woke to my Nephew playing quietly on the deck with the others sitting outside drinking coffee. It was so quite and peaceful. Nights are amazing! We stayed out laying out the picnic tables watching the sky light up with stars that we couldn't imagine seeing in Salt Lake City. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to experience the peacefulness and the ability to bond with your family or friends. Art and Polly, thank you for allowing this amazing experience. We will absolutely be returning for another visit.

“Excellent vacation spot”
Reviewed July 25, 2014 for a stay in July 2014

This house was easy to find. The mountain views were spectacular all day long. There were 7 of us staying and it was nice to have space to spend time together but also to have some alone time as needed. It felt like we were going "home" after visiting in Yellowstone all day. Just sitting at the house, relaxing, reading a book, playing board games was fun. One of the best vacations we've had!! We hope to be back again in the future!

“Peaceful retreat”
Reviewed June 26, 2014 for a stay in June 2014

If you are looking for a peaceful place to recharge I would highly recommend this property. The area is very peaceful and surrounded by breathtaking views. There are great hiking trails close by or you can head down to Gardiner and Yellowstone for the day. Thank you Art and Polly for opening your home to our family!
