My family and I had ate there once before right about a year ago and enjoyed their burgers, although the fries left much to be desired. We stopped in again this December on our way home from Showdown and were told to "get out" because their cook was tired and couldn't handle serving 8 of us. Although there was another family of 6 there. I have never been treated so rudely in an establishment in my life.

Our family stopped here after a day of skiing, the restraunt said it was open till 7:30. The service was horrid, we were told several times that we were their last table because the cook was tired and she was the only one in the kitchen, meanwhile 4 tables were rudely shooed away and told to leave and go to Bob's because that was the only place to get food. Mind you it was 5 pm. Just to get our bill for the food that was not so great we had to hear all about how the cook was tired and did NOT want to be there several more times. The whole experince was very uncomfortable for our family. We will be stopping at Bob's from here on out.....

This mom & pop bar and restaurant is located a few miles south of the "town" of Monarch, Montana. Route 89 between Great Falls and White Sulfur Springs offers alot of beautiful mountain scenery but few options when it comes to eating establishments. Located alongside Belt Creek this small bar and restaurant is nothing fancy but it is a welcome oasis to hungry travelers in an isolated area. When we walked in the first thing we noticed were about twenty U.S. Forest Service workers just finishing lunch around a single long table. The burgers we ordered were very large and tasty. Service was good. The bar in the adjoining room looked cozy and a few locals were perched on the stools. This was a good stop for lunch.
