The food was fresh and beautifully prepared. We had the salmon. It was really delicious. With a child that was barely 8 we were glad to find a children's menu. The service was friendly and timely. We saw elk and big horn sheep in this beautiful setting.

Only open on weekends and you should have reservations. A small out of the way place, to say the least. Have never see a place that had a lawn sprinkler running on the roof, but saw it here. Purpose is to keep dining room cool and it works. They have a limited menu which is understandable given its size. Also had some good specials. Service is good and atmosphere is informal but nice. A unique place that I would go back to again.

Quiet, small, family owned for 30+ years. Simple menu, delicious food, fresh salad bar with homebaked bread. Excellent quality & service. If it is your birthday, you may get serenaded! And yes, the raspberry meringue dessert is so delicious. 5 miles up the East Fork Valley of the Bitterroot River. Excellent road and great access. Binoculars on the table let you view the mountain sheep if they are out. Reservations a must as it is a small, intimate place.

A wonderful drive in the country, with a nice atmosphere. Sit at glass walls and watch for big horn sheep on the mountainside. Binoculars are on every table. Highly recommended as a place to take visitors to Big Sky Country. The food is good enough, tries hard to be fancy but is just adequate. This shouldn't deter your visit, as MOST food in Montana is just adequate! The owners are friendly and welcoming. There are also cabins you can rent, although we have never done so.
