“Worst Pace I've Ever Stayed”
Reviewed 23 September 2011

My husband and I spent 3 weeks out west in August. This was by far the worst place we stayed and for the price $169 per night!! The bathroom had sewer nats coming out of the bathtub and the toilet. We asked to be moved and they wouldn't. Other people came in after us and they got rooms. I decided to brave the sewer nats about 11:30 am, most people were already gone for the day and I didn't have any hot water. Nothing like taking a luke warm shower. The people at the front desk were very rude!! I wouldn't recommend this motel to my worst enemy!!

We had 2 nights here. The room was clean and comfortable. They have an outdoor pool and whirlpool. Whirlpool was good and warm, didn't use the pool. Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast looked good, although I just grabbed a bagle and left. It was crowded when we were there. Seemed like they give you several choices. There is also a laundromat right next door. I would stay here again, comfy beds, refrigerator and microwave in the room.

This place was nothing to write home about, but it wasn't bad, either. The rooms were clean, not overly huge, but big enough for a place to crash at the end of the day. The pool was nice and the hot tub was hot, although the jets didn't work. Breakfast was the biggest surprise. It was quite a decent breakfast (much more than donuts, bagels and coffee), although the dining area was a bit small. All in all, a very decent place to stay.

We stayed here for two nights while visiting YNP; booked through Expedia and got a price comparable to other area motels. Our double-queen room was large, clean, and comfortable; refrigerator, microwave, and air-conditioner all worked great. We especially appreciated the long counter area outside the bathroom. The beds were terrific--nice new, pillow-topped, and firm. (Of course maybe the reason we slept so well had something to do with the high altitude...)
The pool was rather small, and un-heated. Our teen-aged granddaughter enjoyed it though, and this grey-haired gramma loved the hot tube!
We travel with our dog, and appreciated the pet-friendly environment--and being so close to the city park was great too!
The only slightly negative comments I have are these:
--"High-Speed" internet was only "Medium-Speed."
--Breakfast room was overwhelmed both mornings; we brought pastries back to the room.
--We had toilet-flushing issues a couple times, and solved them ourselves. But plumbing appears to be the original.

We would definitely consider staying here again.

Room Tip: First floor, rooms 101 to 110, face away from the sun and stay cool.

If you have tons of luggage, be warned that this property doesn't have elevators.. plus the high elevation of West Yellowstone makes small things like climbing few stairs hard on you on the first few days..

Rooms are very clean and the lady who supervises the breakfast area is super nice.. we'll definitely stay at this place again.

I am rarely harsh in my reviews, but...
Small rooms in a totally nondescript pair of buildings set on asphalt. Main building is standard 2-level motel. Annex is a 3-level building with interior halls, open tread stairs and some sitting areas on landings, very reminiscent of college dorms. Views of parking lots or an electrical transformer. First floor (annex) is basement level with cellar-type windows. Avoid! The bathroom was updated, but tiny, with a tiny sink and tiny soaps and shampoo bottles. Overall, the room was adequate, but no more. Breakfast was fine, with some outdoor tables as well. West Yellowstone is a small 2-star town full of 2-star motels (and some 1-stars as well) that exists only to provide park visitors with a place to sleep. There seem to be no good choices here. Note that there are three Best Westerns in West Yellowstone, all in view of each other.
