The Nevada State Capitol and Grounds are a class act in a beautiful setting. Kudos to its founders and preservationists.

Only two floors to see. Museum is on the second floor. Stopped by the Governor's Office. He wasn't in nor was his Secretary.
We go to all the state Capitols in the states we travel thru and this was one of the best. The grounds are extensive and beautiful. The old capitol building was used by the senate, assembly and Supreme Court in addition to the Governors office and other uses. Now the the Legislature has gone to a separate new building as has the Supreme Court. The governor and other offices are still here as is an excellent small museum explaining the history of the capitol. The newer buildings are on the same parklike grounds or across the street.
This is a nice place to visit. The people were very friendly an accommodating. The grounds are well maintained and comfortable. The law enforcement memorial is a must see.
