We booked Cottonwood Cottage a year in advance for our daughter's wedding. Loved working with April and Brent on the details. They are both very experienced in large event planning. The venue itself is, well, fun! After the wedding ceremony the area returns to the large, what I called, "outdoor great-room" concept complete with two boccie courts, horseshoe pits, and corn hole. There are plenty of board games and activities for children too. The eating area is adjacent to the game area making it easy for everyone to feel included.
The food was plentiful and great. It is one of two things which must be provided by Cottonwood. The other is alcohol. You may use outside vendors for flowers, cake, DJ, extra decor, photography, etc. We used their recommended DJ (McLain's) and cake baker (Simply Cakes). Both were great. April owns Candlelight & Roses, which did a beautiful job on the flowers. April also coordinates all the vendors.
We cannot thank April, Brent and staff for the care and attention that made this special day so wonderful. Also, if you just want to have fun at Cottonwood, check their calendar for intermittent dates that they are open as a restaurant to the public.

Went to visit the town of Genoa today and decided to stop in and eat at the Cottonwood Cottage.I was very impressed from the minute I walked in. The restaurant was beautiful inside and we were greeted by the owner the second we walked in. We decided to eat out on the patio which was equally beautiful. It was a huge green yard with beautiful flowers everywhere, They even had corn hole and bocce ball to play while you were waiting for your food. The food was equally good. We ordered the nachos which were out of this world. The staff were very friendly from the time we walked in until we left. I would definitely recommend eating here if you are in Genoa.

We had our Christmas Dinner party there and a WONDERFUL time! Everything was perfect. The food was to die for, and those loaded mashed potatoes...oh lord! Everyone had a wonderful time and felt so homey with the fire going in the fireplace. Have been for lunch also and it was great!

On Sunday Funday or a weekend leisurely drive through the picturesque town of Genoa be sure to make your way into the Cottonwood Cottage, you will NOT be disappointed.  Grab one of their signature cocktails to sip on, preferably the Blood Orange Lemonade to then sit out in the beautifully landscaped outdoor area to relax or challenge your friends and family to one of their backyard games like Cornhole or Bocce Ball to build up an appetite.

On this particular day, our appetites were already pre-backyard game ready to dive into the menu and we realized that we would definitely be coming back to try other options that caught our eye.  We ordered the T-O-TChos that are tater tots smothered with melted cheese then topped with house-made chili, green & red onion, and sour cream - TOO DIE FOR!! Then we went for the Tri-tip Swiss Sliders on Hawaiian sweet rolls and let's just put it out there I am not a big tri-tip person because the meat is a hit or miss for me.  But folks the meat was cooked to PERFECTION, topped with sautéed mushrooms & onions plus a dollop of horseradish - yeppers folks OMTASTY!!  Plus a side of coleslaw that let me say, it was EXCELLENT!! with just a hint of jalapeno - yummilicious!!  Looking forward to making our way down the menu with our first stop at the Genoa Peak Nachos and Cottage Burgers - (insert my awkward giggle LOL)

As we finished our relaxing day here, we found ourselves gazing out at the backdrop of the mountainous views, the pine trees, along with the beautiful flowers inside the gorgeous outdoor setting all around us. Feeling like we were at a backyard BBQ of a dear friend or family members enjoying the peacefulness of the day - ahhhmazing and serene.  Added bonus of Cottonwood Cottage that made this day complete, the personal, friendly service from the hosts aka owners to pull everything all together with refreshing libations, tasty, yep satisfying food to the beauty of this venue. - yeppers PERFECT DAY!

Thank you for our relaxing Sunday Funday!  See you soon, Cottonwood Cottage, I'm thinking on the Bike's (MC) for Bocce Ball with Bloody Mary's and Cottage Burgers for my next visit - the BBBB day for short (slight giggle lol)

We went here for dinner on a Sunday night. The menu mainly consists mainly of pizza, burgers, and some BBQ items. Our food portions and taste, we considered average. The folks serving us appeared to be the owners, they were very attentive and friendly. The atmosphere is relaxed... even using plastic silverware and cups. The outdoor seating area includes corn-hole and Jenga, among other games. The highlight was definitely the service! We didn't love the country music selection, would have preferred more variety. We will go back and give it another chance, maybe try some of their interesting cocktail options.
