“Beautiful Property”
Reviewed 8 March 2012

When you first walk into the Wynn, you go into a state of aw. Soak in the beauty and the craft of the artwork. I didn't want to leave until we got to the front desk. They were nice, but were determined to put a $1000.00 hold on my card. I had to ask for the manager, at that point, I no longer saw the beauty in the hotel. Finally after speaking with the manager, they accepted a $150.00 hold. And from there, we went to our room which offer breath taking views of the city. The room was well appointed with living room with state of the art furniture. The bathroom offered robes (which were used, but hey; we never got that in another hotel) separate bath tub and shower. I would definitely return to this hotel.....as long as they know they can't put a hold on my card.

Room Tip: Ask for higher floors to get a nice view of the city.

We stayed at the Encore part of the Wynn Hotels and it was a 1st class experiance. The room was big and lots of space, comfortable beds, furniture and the view was great. We were only on the 7th floor and we were asked if we wanted to move up but we were good right there. Great location, near everything on the strip. A few minor things as most hotels the snacks and bar in the room way over priced, a store 10 min walk took care of there 8.00 a bottle water paid the same water for 1.00 a bottle. No Coffee or tea makers in the rooms, you had to line up every morning for there 4.65 coffee. I know lots of tyravellers at night just want to settle there stomachs with just hot water at the Encore good luck!

The staff was the best and friendly, the BUFFET was surperiour but so was the price but you get mostly what you pay for these days. Would stay there again but would look for other deals as well at other properties.

Room Tip: Lots of choices for rooms they will help you for sure also the resort fee of 20.00 a night but rebat...

We had a fabulous stay at this hotel. The rooms are very nice and the bathrooms are large and spacious. Great strip and mountain views, the pool and bar area were very relaxing with great drinks. The breakfast food was a little pricey. There's a beach club next door where we attended a great day party which is very noisy during the day but a lot of fun. The hotel is a bit of a distance from other places along the strip.

This is a beautiful hotel with alot of high end amenities. My husband and I had a 10 night stay in Las Vegas. We stayed in 3 different hotels during our stay. First 2 nights we stayed at the MGM Grand (have stayed here over 5 times). Next 3 nights were at the New York New York Hotel (have stayed here over 5 times). Our last 5 nights were at the Encore (have stayed here 3 times).
The encore has far nicer rooms than the MGM and New York New York. The Encore is at the complete opposite end of the strip from the first two hotels. We enjoy changing hotels and getting a different vibe from the different hotels. MGM has fairly large rooms but the views are always terrible. The casino is HUGE. The foodcourt is lively and very busy. There is a nice stroll to shopping facilities as well as many restaurants. When we checked out all we had to do was walk across the bridge to get to New York New York. New York has a younger crowd vibe (we are in our early 50's). The rooms are a little smaller than MGM however compared with other hotels in the U.S.A they would be classified as high end. We have always had good views from our stays at New York. Given a choice I would stay at the New York hotel over the MGM hotel. Casino is smaller and during our Friday Saturday night stay very lively.
There is a dual ling piano bar that is very popular and fun. There is also a Irish Pub that is a great place to get a Guinness. Food is reasonably priced at the food court and very good.
The deli sandwiches, fish and chips and deserts were particular favorites.
We planned our trip that we would not walk any farther than halfway down the strip (we used the Flamingo as our stopping point. When we checked out of New York New York we decided to walk to the Encore (we have made this walk many times on previous holidays so we did know how long it was). Our intention originally was to take a cab but we were energized that day and had no problem pulling our 1 suitcase and carrying our 1 back pack. If you do decide to do this there are many places to stop and sit for a minute if your feet get tired.
The vibe at the Encore is immediately so different from the first two hotels. Much more staff attends to you and they really do make checking in and checking out a delight. Much more efficient than the first two hotels. The grandeur of the encore immediately takes you aback. Beautiful, beautiful red decor. Rooms have floor to ceiling windows so views are great. We were on the 28th floor and were offered a upgrade to a higher floor for 20.00 more. We declined the offer and we were very satisfied with the view that came with our room. We ate at the Wynn buffet twice during our stay and upgraded the meal to 10.00 each for all you can drink champagne (there are some other drinks available at that price but we chose the champagne). Someone in another review stated that some of the food was not fresh. I would have to disagree with that statement. Everything was great and all was fresh. We intended to try some of the other restaurants at the Encore but it did not work out for us with the shows we were going to see.
In this order my favorites are
Encore - Classy
New York - Fun
MGM - Has everything
I would stay at any of these properties again.
Have fun in Vegas!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have been visiting Las Vegas since 1984 and this was our first stay at Encore or any Wynn property. From our arrival on Saturday morning to our departure on Tuesday we were truly pampered. Richard was especially helpful at check-in and we got to our room early. Panoramic view was worth the upgrade. Rooms are what the pictures say they are. Society cafe was awesome. Smiles from everyone all the time. And Garth.....what a wonderful evening. It is a true experience when both you and the performer are having fun.
We will be coming back to Encore!

Room Tip: Panoramic view is worth the upgrade

This is the only place we'll stay. Check-in is easy, check out over the phone is easy. The entire staff is professional and courteous. The rooms are always clean, the common areas are always clean. Yes it is $$$$, but it is worth it. Our other favorite thing is that it is small enough to get around quickly; other behemoth hotels on the strip take 15 minutes to get from the room to the pool, common areas, etc.

We stayed at three hotels this trip. The Bellagio, Mandarin Oriental, and the Encore. Encore wins this round due to consistency and price. We stayed in a panoramic room on the 59th floor overlooking the golf course. It was quiet and very nice. Hard to believe the Encore has been around for a few years now, still looks and feels new. Service was very friendly and entire stay was great. Only minor issue is the price of food in the hotel. You can get deals on the rooms, but you will pay for the food.

Room Tip: Stay away from the beach club, get a high room overlooking the north or east sides.
