Donny Osmond is a part of Americana - you cannot experience America without seeing him performing. He has it all - the singing voice, the dancing, the acting, all over a period of 50 years . He has really made the most of the talent given him, by hard work and dedication to his craft.
Go and see the show - it’s really well put together.

A note of warning - be aware of booking the seats around a table - the tables seat 6, 3 on each side - each of who has to sit sideways to see, and with 3 on each side 2 out of the 3 then have their view blocked. Also, with 3 on each side 1 couple will be have to split up. So note to the Hotel - tear out the tables and replace them with seats please.

I grew up watching Donny & Marie and was so looking forward to seeing them in person. To me, it was just ok, but my husband and those around us seemed to really enjoy it. Very few of the old songs I was hoping to hear. They are very talented and relate well to the audience and each other. Fun costumes. Great sound. Nice theater.

On a positive note, they look and sound GREAT; especially Donny after his throat surgery. But despite being a huge fan , I’m sorry to say I didn’t much care for their show. Why? Poor song choices, scripting, pacing, and costumes.

Marie brought her solo time to a complete stop with a bizarre video montage of her made-up as different female celebrities. Donny also brought his solo time to a stop by asking us to take out our cell phones (despite being asked before the show to turn them off) to "like" his Facebook page…all for the chance to win a copy of his latest CD, which made the show feel like QVC.

And then there was the scripting. Now I fully realize their “schtick” has long been one of sibling rivalry/teasing, but given our greater sensitivity to bullying, and with this brother-sister duo being in their late 50’s/early 60’s, Marie calling Donny a "butt-face” and Donny calling Marie a “loser” was more cringe-worthy than amusing.

They seemed very intent on making sure we all know all the amazing things they’ve done in their careers (as if they have something to prove, which they don’t), but not once did I feel either performer had any liking or connection with the other, or genuine appreciation for the audience.

And despite all the great songs they and their brothers recorded and covered on their 1970’s show, all they do from this era is the same tired "Puppy Love," "Paper Roses," "I'm Leaving It All Up To You/Make The World Go Away" (medley), and “Crazy Horses” (Donny)...all songs that were hits, but not amongst their best work. How about “Ain’t Nothing Like The Real Thing,” “C’mon Marianne,” “Winning Combination,” or any of the songs they featured during their concert segments on their 70’s show. When you go to see Elton John, Neil Diamond, or Rod Stewart, you expect them to sing their hits. This show does not follow that rule. Oh, and they also take time to sing "Deep Purple," but only after Donny says how much he’s always hated the song. Huh? You don’t tell the audience you hate a song, then force them to listen to it. You just leave it out. Bizarre.

And normally I would never even notice the costuming, but in this show it’s like they hired a total amateur. lMarie is so beautiful, but comes out to sing “Paper Roses” in a dress that makes her look heavy, which she certainly is not.

These two are so very talented. It would be nice to see them perform in a show that showcased their talent in a way that’s more satisfying for fans, rather than what seems to be a frantic audition and blatant effort to sell more of their latest CD’s.

Absolutely love these two, great entertainers, fab show. Paid for a meet and greet but sadly Marie wasn't there. Donny did not disappoint though and he was so lovely and friendly. Hope to return next year.
