“Circus Circus”

A bit dated in comparison to some of the other hotels on th strip and also its location also mean that you can get a bargain with rooms. There were renovated or unrenovated rooms to choose from. We went for renovated and still thought the price at $620 was good for a week. The room was not plush but adequate. The steak house apparently is one of the best in Vegas. I sampled this and believe me it was good. Little bit of a walk or taxi to get to where the rest of the big hotels are, but fine in the sun and good to help walk the food off.

Room Tip: Go for the renovated rooms.

For what it cost the place is good. Family on a budget will find good enough accommodation for 25-35 dollars a nigth. Especially recommended for a family with children.

Room Tip: Might want to select the building which is closer to the strip.

The rooms were very large, but basic ,although this hotel is a bit dated, the service and value for money is exceptional.
Pay out on machines in circus circus is very good more so than the newer hotels.

We stayed at this hotel for 1 night while passing through Vegas. Paid $22 on hotels.com so I really can't complain. I did notice a pistachio shell on the floor near the radiator, which we did not eat and there was pretty big stain on the bed skirt. Neither were that big a deal for 22 bucks. It is not close to any other hotels on the strip, you will need a taxi.

The hotel was more smokey then others on the strip. It is definitely the hotel for families not for singles or people there to party. There were tons of kids, even little kids kept up past mightnight so you never got a break from the crying. The food at the hotel was decent and the drink prices were good.

Room Tip: I would recommend a high floor, less kids and noise and great views of the strip.

Circus Circus is cheaper than the other Vegas hotels because it is further up the strip, and a bit more aged. It attracts a different crowd to the places closer to the center of the strip. You get what you pay for. The staff were very friendly. The rooms were comfortable and the bathrooms in good order. We stayed here for one night because we arrived in Vegas on a Saturday, and the places further down the strip had huge price hikes on a Saturday night. So we stayed here for a night then moved further down the strip for the other nights. It is a bit more family-friendly than other spots because of the adventureland section.

If you want a cheap stay in Vegas, this is a good spot and you will get your money's worth. If you want to be in the very centre of the action you should stay somewhere else, and expect to pay more for it.
