“Love this Place will stay again.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 March 2012

We have been here before and will be back again. Our two day stay was a portion of a business trip that was our leisure time. This was the mostly relaxing and enjoyable part of the trip by far. One thing I like about this place is that whether your have comped rooms or you pay, the service doesnt vary. We love the fact that is it off strip but you still get the Vegas feel. Restaurants are great, the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful and the casino is fair to all levels of gaming. My wife had a slight fear of table games and this was one place that I felt i could bring her, teach her a game and not feel pressured by others. The dealers picked up on this very quickly and helped me help her learn the game. There was never a feeling that the casino was tight and that they were just trying to re-coup their comps.

One of the other excellent factors of this hotel is the security at the elevators. That is a great feeling to know someone is checking every person that walks by to ensure they are guests. We unfortunately had to stay elsewhere for the rest of the trip and wish we hadn't. If anything the other hotel made us realize how great the Orleans is, and next time we will deal with traffic driving to the strip rather than deal with poor service. Thanks Orleans for a great stay and we'll be back.

I read that this was a pretty good place to stay, and it lived up to it's many good reviews. The casino was large and had all the usual ways of seperating one from their cash, but it was FUN. The room I had was very clean and spacious. There was a great bar that served a wonderful free frozen margarita if you were playing video poker. There was actually a security station in front of the elevators. I had a rental car, so I considered this off strip location to be fantastic. This is one of the best places I have ever stayed in Vegas.

Room Tip: Hey, there is an "In N Out" just up the street.

I stayed at this because it was cheap but highly rated. Airfares had increased over two and a half times from what I paid last year. I was not expecting much (because of the price) but now I see why it is so highly rated, The Orleans, while a little dated, is an excellent value for what you pay.
Check-in took less than five minutes. I was given a meal credit, discounts to the movie theater concession area, and discounts to most of the hotel restaurants. You must show a key to the security personnel to gain elevator access 24/7 (which I like). Most strip hotels only require this late night.
The rooms are relatively large but dated. Being dated was not a problem because the bed was comfortable, the water pressure good, the room contained a safe, and housekeeping did an excellent job in keeping the room and public areas clean. The room also contained a coffee maker (very unusual for Vegas).
Some of the pleasant surprises about the Orleans include 24/7 hour room service, most of the food restaurants open 24/7, an onsite package store, and a very well equipped fitness center (included in the daily fee). Most strip hotels charge much higher fees and the included fitness center is not eve a quarter of the size of the one at the Orleans.
The Orleans has a 70 lane bowling alley as well as a 18 screen movie theater, the Orleans Arena as well as Orleans Showroom. Food at the French Market Buffet (family restaurant quality) provides a good value as well for what you get. The plentiful breakfast and lunch buffets are under $8 with the BConnected card. It is very easy to spend over $30 for breakfast at a strip hotel.
The hotel is a good choice for visitors seeking a good value and not into clubbing.

Second visit to Las Vegas and second stay at The Orleans. We love this hotel! It is smaller than most of the Strip hotels (we thought the crowds and the enormity of the hotels on the Strip were just too much). It offers everything that we need from a wonderful buffet (breakfast, lunch and dinner--much more reasonable than on the Strip) to several other restaurant choices, a good casino (though we always leave money!), bowling alley, movie theater, outdoor pool with ice cream bar in summer, and so on. We could spend all our time here and not be bored. Tuesdays are Senior Days with lots of extra freebies (like 2 for 1 buffet on Tuesdays for seniors), so be sure to sign up for their Player's Card. After our first stay, we received an offer for two free nights (which we used on this trip) and would not have had to stay any longer (although we did). We had a car but the hotel has a shuttle bus that makes trips to other casinos and also to the Strip on a regular basis all day (we used that last time and it was very handy). There is a security guard at the room elevators (like in many of the Strip hotels). After researching other hotels on the Strip, we decided The Orleans is the only hotel for us! Things not to miss: Fremont Street downtown at night, Jubilee show at Ballys, and if you are into dinner theater plays in a small venue, the one at Fitzgeralds "Marriage can be Murder." was a lot of laughs and food was good & plenty of it.

Room Tip: This second trip we opted to spend $5 more per day for a view of the Strip. It is pretty at night b...

The Orleans is located off the Strip and is a self-contained gem. It's plenty big enough, but not an overwhelming complex like some of the giant hotels on the Strip. Numerous excellent restaurants, fantastic pool setup and Sunday through Thursday room rates that will have you wondering how they do it. I've attended two major conferences here and plan to take personal vacation as well. You'll want to rent a car to get around.

We stayed at the Orleans early March for the umpteenth time. This hotel never fails to provide an excellent guest experience. Our room was cozy, comfortable, clean, and we slept well. Some amenities we enjoyed: Big Al's Oyster Bar serves delicious food, the Java coffee shop offers free internet, the action is lively at the bars and gaming areas. Have always had friendly customer service at this hotel. It's great staying off-strip with a free shuttle available when you need to hit the strip. What I like best about the Orleans is its boisterous, friendly atmosphere!

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the elevators!
