Just stayed at the Orleans for the fith time and still can't fault the place. No it's not the Palazzo (which I also gave a try this trip) but it cannot be beaten for value.

The rooms are excellent for the price.

The dining choices are wide and varied with the Prime Rib Loft ( first time eating there) offering fantastic food at a very reasonable price.

Throw in the seasonal specials with buckets of five beers for $8 dollars and who would want more. On the strip a single beer with tip is about $8.

And to add icing to the cake the slots were good to us this year.

Some people tend to be overly negative about it being off strip but it really is only a ten minute free bus ride or a $10-12 cab fare away and the room rates more than make up for that.

Can't wait until my next visit.

Room Tip: I always request a high floor and never have any problems.

A bit off the strip but so much more enjoyable and only a short shuttle, taxi or drive away!

I regret reading the great reviews before coming here; they fail to emphasize the bad neighborhood and dated facility. I give The Orleans 3 out of 5 because of its great value and lack of incidents or serious problems, but I would not stay here again unless low on funds.

The hotel is surrounded by adult entertainment bars and stores, and the clientele is either cheap families or desperate, drunk gamblers. In-room wi-fi costs $12.99 extra AFTER the $6 resort fee, except in the lobby where a coffee shop offers internet for free. The rooms were relatively clean but all furniture is extremely dated.

Room Tip: Get a room far from the elevators to reduce late-night noise

We have been here before and will be back again. Our two day stay was a portion of a business trip that was our leisure time. This was the mostly relaxing and enjoyable part of the trip by far. One thing I like about this place is that whether your have comped rooms or you pay, the service doesnt vary. We love the fact that is it off strip but you still get the Vegas feel. Restaurants are great, the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful and the casino is fair to all levels of gaming. My wife had a slight fear of table games and this was one place that I felt i could bring her, teach her a game and not feel pressured by others. The dealers picked up on this very quickly and helped me help her learn the game. There was never a feeling that the casino was tight and that they were just trying to re-coup their comps.

One of the other excellent factors of this hotel is the security at the elevators. That is a great feeling to know someone is checking every person that walks by to ensure they are guests. We unfortunately had to stay elsewhere for the rest of the trip and wish we hadn't. If anything the other hotel made us realize how great the Orleans is, and next time we will deal with traffic driving to the strip rather than deal with poor service. Thanks Orleans for a great stay and we'll be back.

I read that this was a pretty good place to stay, and it lived up to it's many good reviews. The casino was large and had all the usual ways of seperating one from their cash, but it was FUN. The room I had was very clean and spacious. There was a great bar that served a wonderful free frozen margarita if you were playing video poker. There was actually a security station in front of the elevators. I had a rental car, so I considered this off strip location to be fantastic. This is one of the best places I have ever stayed in Vegas.

Room Tip: Hey, there is an "In N Out" just up the street.
