We got to Vegas 2-3 times a year and have stayed at the Orleans for several years. Being retired we are fortunate to be able to go Sun-Thurs. Even tho it is off the strip we drive and it's not far to wherever we want to go. The Prime Rib Loft is a great restaurant that we always go to once each time we are at the Orleans. The breakfast buffet has vastly improved recently, it is VERY good. The rooms are large but could use some maintainence, light bulbs are burned out, air conditioning not working properly----ours squealed so loud we turned it off and it wouldn't go back on. We have noticed they aren't kept up as well as they had been. Although I don't smoke, smoke does not bother me but this trip the casino was sooooo crowded there were more smokers than usual and it was quite bothersome. Never has been an issues in the rooms tho.
Having said all the above you may wonder why we continue to stay at the Orleans. The atmosphere is friendly, not snooty, the restaurants are good and the offers are generous for not a lot of gambling with the club card.
We have stayed in a suite a couple of times and they are huge and magnificent. The Spa is a very nice occasional treat.

Glad for the constructive input about your recent stay at The Orleans; we are thankful that loyal guests tell us the good and not so good things about their stays so that we can make the necessary changes. Your comments about the food outlets and the rooms issues will be shared with the department heads. Again, thanks for your repeat business and we hope to see you again soon!

My Husband & I spent my 50th birthday for 5 days at the Orleans Las Vegas(April 23rd - 28th)We were very pleased with the all the casino/hotel offered. The Orleans has everything the strip has to offer and more. Great rooms, great service, plenty slots and table games. Movie theatre and bowling alley was a plus (very impressed). Excellent food choices and prices. Birthday dinner was reserved at the Prime Rib Loft. They has great food and service. Thanks to Donna and Harvyaire. Thanks for the cake guys! Shuttle service to the strip was nice and ran frequently.
We could not have made a greater choice than the Orleans. We would definately return. Very nice atmosphere from the strip, but had the strip feel!! We highly recommend the Orleans. Go once you'll definately return!!

Room Tip: Higher floors offer good views of the strip for $5 per night added to your room cost. Our room was 1...

If you like to play slots of any sort--this is the place. There are groups of dollar slots all over the place but I found my little niche at certain locations and won jackpots several times at the same machine! We got a complimentary room for one day and won a jackpot during that short time. We are looking forward for the golf outing two weeks from now.

Just checked in today. We are in town for a funeral, so our travel plans were last minute. The rates for all hotels this weekend are outrageous so we opted to stay off the strip. My spouse had stayed here some years ago and thought it was a good value. Well, at $150+ a night this weekend I don't feel it is a good value. The carpet in our room, and another room we booked for family, is very stained. There are stains all over each room, and I won't go barefoot in here. I've checked the linen on the beds closely and the bed skirts are stained. There is a flat screen television, but no HD hookups. I had considered staying at Boulder Station as they renovated their rooms last year, but chose this location for proximity to our family events. I made a bad choice. The casino, bowling alley and public areas seem pretty good so far, but the rooms are very disappointing.

Our apologies that your stay at The Orleans was not up to par due to guest room issues. We are in the process of carpeting the guest rooms and later this year we will begin a refurbishment project. We are sorry that you and your family were disappointed. We hope you will return again under better circumstances and give us another try. Thank you for you feedback.

At least once a year we meet up with friends from High School in Las Vegas. We spent
4 days at the Orleans, as we have in the past. We pick the Orleans because of the
atmosphere, location and we think the hotel is great. Our room this time was exceptional.
Very clean, looked like it was just decorated and quiet. The buffet was good morning and
night. We also ate at the Japanese restaurant (highly recommended). We love the shuttle,
you can park and let the bus take you to the strip, Gold Coast, etc. We are looking forward
to our next trip already, maybe sooner than a year.

Room Tip: We chose a room away from the elevator and vending machines. We heard a little traffic and some mu...

The Orleans has ended up as our 'default' hotel in Vegas. There is a little something for everyone who is a bit tired of the non stop traffic on the strip. While too far for most to walk, there is a shuttle that ferries patrons back and forth (including a trip to the Gold Coast). The Orleans has solid eateries but has brought in the TGIF franchise....but they at least retained the 24 hour coffee shop as well. Decent gambling with 5/BJ and poker room. live bands in the lounge. large resort type rooms with a sitting area. love the bathroom that has a little window that opens.
So...if looking at a solid value 1 mile from the strip...I can recommend the Orleans.

Room Tip: Get a room facing east, towards the strip.
